Believe it or not. I actually enjoy trailer rebuilds and rig setups as much or even more than actual car builds. lol home renovations are awesome also.

I freaking love how Collette gets her hands dirty and takes on projects and builds on cars,trucks,trailers,garages,shops,office etc. more Dads and mothers need to teach their kids these skills so they don’t have to rely on anyone else

As a person who has worked in the flooring department of the "Major Retailer" I can tell you bought your flooring supplies from, they should have told you a few things. We don't do precision cuts because the counter isn't 100% accurate (we add a bit to make sure you got what you paid for). The cut ends won't be square because 6ft indoor/outdoor carpet stretches and moves as the cutter goes through it. Also good move with the NOS bottle, but, a cheap dollar store rolling pin gives you a handle. Looks great! You did a wonderful job.

When applying the glue, you should've used a notched trowel, not a flat one. A bit of old carpet attached to a 3 x 2 piece of timber about a meter long to use as a means of expelling air bubbles and pressing vinyl to floor. Hope this helps for the next update.

What a monster of a Trailor...... You girls and guys did an amazing job! For the adhesive I used to use a tooth squeezee, to avoid high spots underneath.

I like how the carpet deadens the sound. Rather than using a generator, I would put 4 full sized solar panels on the roof, some LiPo4 batteries and an inverter. You could have all the power for AC, lighting, and tools at all times and no noise. I guess that's what the electrical nerd in me would want. I love the idea of doing the work for the future me. I need to remember to tell myself that.

how old is this trailer ? !!! dont forget 6 new tires and at least 6 new wheel bearings ! but for a couple ( $50-60 per axle ) bucks more you can buy all 3 new axles assemblies w. everything att to it ...inc new mounting hardware ! if you wana go totally safe / worry free like i did you get all 6 new leave springs ...they are cheap $55 each if i remember correctly ... now where are all your chicken ?

I really like the checkered vynil but the minor thing is your car tires will stain it brown. Thats why we did our workshop in swistrack . Tires have type off material in them that fight with vynil. Hope it last long it really looks good!🔥

I have been following this Renovation and the work they Transformed the House and it is Awesome!! Collete gave you thought about adding Solar to the Trailer? I added Solar to my Trailer and I love it. I can Charge my Phone, Laptop, my Power tools added a small refrigerator and Radeo. I added Lithium Batteries and 1300 Watts of Solar Panels with nice Bright LEDs that i can change to any color I want. I Love it!!

It looks so insane! You always kick ass at renovating spaces. Not an easy job at all. 👏

glue could be rolled on with a 1/4 nap roller most likely, similar to carpet tile adhesive.

FYI for your next trailer use a sander to scuff interior panels prior to applying carpet adhesive otherwise in extreme heat it may peel or bubble the way ya did it

I would’ve done the flooring of the trailer long ways and then glue in sections and squeegee that section out then move to the next section that’s how i did my buddies Rv roof and it work out really well just takes a lot of time

A floor trim for more protection of the carpets might be a good addition.

I thik you will have issue with the carpet not staying attached to the walls long term.... It is recommended to sand (key) the substrate that you are adhering to for a mechanical bond.

I just used a metal rolling pin when I did my floors a few years ago but the nitrous bottle it way cooler

as a flooring installer, by the looks of it, i'd say it was either too big of teeth on the trowel, or you didn't spread the glue thin enough regardless, i give you credit for doing it all yourself

Could be wrong but I'd always work from top to bottom so then if you drop anything or are working above it doesn't ruin your floor

did you use a trowel with the little noches on it that evens out the glue and gives you a mechanical bond to the wood
