Ah hell yeah. Finally a good game. I actually legit miss the Quick Roster with the babyface/heel breakdown. It'd be useful still for any future TEW. I also really liked Stable Angles because in TEW, the max angle members is 8, so you can never properly book big faction wars between stable with a ton of members. There's lots of small things in EWR that I would like to see back and improved upon in TEW. Same with TEW 2004, which had a different vision from the 2005 and on TEW games.
I don't think I realized how much I missed the quick roster until I saw it again. Such a simple breakdown of workers. And that's a great point about the stable angles and the limitations of the max members. I'm intrigued to look back at TEW 2004 or TEW 2005 and see what jumps out about those.
This actually looks really nice, I'd consider playing it nowadays.. if I have one complaint it would be the color scheme, it's a little strenuous on the eyes
It was a little different visually haha. But yeah, it's such a simple game, and that was one of the things I loved about it. Lots of detail, but it's very easy to navigate.
This is my favorite video you've done. I believe EWD was my first and then I found promotion wars. I found sims because of E-Fed's. I rolled with PW for quite a long time when i found EWR. I really miss the simplicity of booking this before the TEW series spoiled us. Dont get me wrong, I'm not saying i would trade back to it but man! I used to run 10 to 12 year saves with WCW and TNA. It wasnt unusual to bookban entire month in one sitting if ny creative juices start flowing...not that any substances had anything to do with that. This game was magical though and i recently downloaded it again. Unfortunately its too late to go back, but Im considering starting a long-term save with Mark Jindrak taking Evolution down single handedly! Plus Big Show should have been taking care of...you nuried the man! 😅 I wouldnt complain about a save if you wanted to but I'd hate to interfere with your subscribers and what they are watching right now. Either way you got a new sub.
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed this one. I think I followed the same cycle as you with EWD, Promotion Wars, E-Feds, and EWR haha. And simplicity is the perfect word to describe it. I get lost in the details a lot in TEW, which can be a good thing and a bad thing. I think one of the longest saves I've done is with TNA back in like 2002 or 2005 (can't remember which). As you said, it was easy to book an entire month of shows in quick fashion. Now it takes me like two months to book a month of shows haha. Really appreciate the sub and perhaps we'll do an EWR save for the nostalgia!
I'm playing this right now. Started with NWAW, raise them to 15% national and got work offer from ROH which had drop to 8% cult level and was destroying in ratings. Now ROH is on national level 67% and I'm about to buy out NWAW. Such a great game
Going old school 😂 Next step Extreme Warfare Deluxe? Edit: I just remembered the little easter eggs, like getting mails from Dusty 'getting funky like a monkey' or Terry Funk always coming out of retirement 😅 I think I have to download something now.
@@wrestleblake IF you're doing a series about retro sims, this might interest you: I just found out, that Adam Jennings is working on Promotion Wars again (for at least a year actually) and made some very nice changes to the game.
@@mawe8601 It's funny, someone else mentioned this in the comments and I told them I had just looked at the Promotion Wars website and realized the game had been updated. I'm gonna add this one to the list!
I'll add Promotion Wars to the rotation! I was actually on the PW website yesterday looking at the updated version. Also loved playing that game back in the day.
I'm a fan of this idea! If I do a save, I do think TNA would be the most entertaining option. My TEW 2005 save with them is still one of my favorite saves.
