It should be noted: Those gaming results aren't typical. There can be several contributing factors to those results: 1. Toms Hardware was using a less optimized and earlier version of Cyberpunk (before the benchmark was added) 2. There is a CP2077 LTT discovered where it did NOT apply the graphic setting presets, even through it said it did. A debloat will net between 5-10% performance uplift, UNLESS your CPU is the bottleneck leading to lower performance, which those numbers can get higher.

Chris, when you upgrade to Zen4 you should make a passthrough tutorial, Zen4 has an integrated GPU, even with 2 CU's you can easily passthrough all the pictures to the host-system which come from the discrete graphics card in the virtual system. However, make sure that you then buy a motherboard with good IOMMU. In regard to this comparison with Tom's Hardware, take into consideration that updates might make the game perform the game better too.

You still get extraperformance when you exced your monitor's refresh rate. Hardware Unboxed made a video on this topic, it's about input lag, that's why CSGO players play with uncap framerates. On games like Cyberpunk 2077 and such, is not as necesary but just to be correct, more fps is almost always better even if you are running on a 60 Hz monitor (unless you are getting inconsistent frametimes). LTT also made a video, analyzing all the different scenarios, high fps on 60 Hz monitors delivered better results in their testing. More accuracy from a sample of 5 people (noobs and pros).

There is a huge flaw in your performance analysis against Tom's Hardware's numbers. The Tom's Hardware numbers are from Cyberpunk 2077's launch version (1.03) which came out back in December 10, 2020. Cyberpunk 2077 has seen a lot of bug fixes and performance optimizations since. Also, one other thing to note is that Cyberpunk 2077's launch version didn't have an in-game benchmark, this was added with the Patch 1.50 earlier this year, in February. Tom's Hardware might've used a different location which is likely more demanding than the benchmark scene CDPR has chosen. That too is another thing to consider. Edit: Looks like I was absolutely spot on about their choice of test location, to quote the Tom's Hardware article: Our test is simple: We start near the entrance to V's apartment complex, down on the ground floor. Then we walk down the stairs, cross the street to the left, cross the next street to the right, and head off toward Tom's Diner. Turn left in front of the diner, across another street and up the stairs, and past the two cops talking to some irritated civilians. "But when the Tygers come around, you ain't nowhere to be found!" (I may have walked this path too many times.) Furthermore, AMD"s drivers have matured, and if you use features like Resizable Bar, you can get even more performance out of the RX 5700 XT, especially when you're in CPU limited scenarios. The best way for you to gauge the improvements is to actually compare it against an absolute stock Windows 10 ISO, run the games and compare its numbers against the stripped-down Windows 10 installation you've created. That's the only way for the benchmark numbers to be meaningful. Love the work you're doing, looking forward to seeing where this all ends up.

Cyberpunk 2077 has always been buggy and inefficient. I was amazed when it first came out that everyone believed it was just "So good it pushes the bounds of your graphics card" ... when the reality is the game has garbage optimization. The trend in the industry has been, for decades, to write shittier and shittier code that runs like hot garbage and rely on hardware improvements to cover for the awful programming. Microsoft spearheaded this trend with Windows and now all the AAA gamers do it... they obviously won't fix the trend because people keep buying the hardware to play the "popular" games.

@@ChrisTitusTech The Cyberpunk 2077 bug that LTT experienced (along with nearly every other media outlet apparently) is that you need to change a setting after changing the preset to get an "apply" button to save your changed settings. LTT and a few other outlets only changed the preset and never took the second step to get an "apply" button to save their settings so their benchmarks were ran on the default stock settings. It should be noted, bold and underlined in flashing letters, that debloating windows usually affects its stability and future compatibility with updates. Windows is NOT modular. You cannot forcefully remove something from the OS and expect it to keep working perfectly forever. Only do this if you are not afraid of having ocasional bluescreens, app crashes, missing things, failed windows updates and etc. While this can be useful, do this at your own risk. Don't call Windows "unstable" if you try to always debloat it to the max. Still, great video for those who really want it (and understand the risks)!

@@flipinfin Pros play on low settings for the highest fps possible. Reducing the number of active processes in windows can and does increase fps, mainly the 1% and 0.1% lows, or stutter as some call it. I am curious if their is any tangible fps difference in windows 11 normal vs debloated hence why I left the comment.
@flipinfin

@@DrNooberious Its all personal preference. Some want graphics over FPS nothing is wrong with that. Though as a gamer with a decent rig debloating software isn't going to decrease your FPS in a far margin. Hence you can disable background apps lol disable game bar. If you a have a Nvidia GPU go to your 3d settings and and lower the settings tons of RU-vid videos. I just used pro players as an example cuz some has the best hardware money can buy and still play on low settings.

Horrible video that doesn't tell you any manual process so that you know what processes you're removing, it is literally just this guy selling his program that does it all for you. Shamelessly gets straight into his program that he created for this task.

@Chris Titus Tech Your testing methodology is BAD! you cannot take performance benchmarks from gpus that are 2 years old with old drivers and compare them with up to date drivers and game patches. You basicly did not proof anything. A real test would be using the exact same hardware default windows! at least 3 meassurment cycles then the exact same hardware debloatet windows at least 3 meassurment cycles and then compare numbers.

Chris, I love it that you couldn't resist to emphasize that you don't use settings like film grain, motion blur, flares. I am with you on that! Especially those fake camera effects don't make any sense to me, the point is to not look through a camera but get immersed in the gaming-world. Also, TV and movies are not as popular as those once were.

Is this supposed to be an online system because no one but advanced users should ever remove WIndows Defender or Update. That is how you get viruses and adware and compromise your system. It is like never updating your phone. Even advanced users should not be gaming on Windows 7 online. Vulnerabilities exist and will grow overtime.

> ...Setting 120FPS cap because on 120Hz monitor it won't matter (to go above) Of course for this use case it wouldn't matter, but in general I saw some videos about Pro-CSGO, where they say it's better to increase the FPS cap slightly above max Hz, so the GPU has some overhead frames and picks the best ones to display, instead of disregarding all extra frames.

This is impressive. It would've been a must for me on the i5 7400 back in the day. But on a 5900X it's just unnecessary. Unless some of those "deleted" processes used the GPU for 3D work, there's basically 0 improvement on that front. But it's great for boot times and lowering the CPU/RAM usage a little bit. With this you can def gain some Cinebench points for free.

Absolutely spot on. I tried tiny 10 a while ago but I found that it really was not very different than my regular windows install after I had installed the basic things that I need. The process count may be about 50 processes lower but those processes were probably tiny anyway.

I want to know under which file system and what mount point should i mount my HDD(1TB rem 900gbs) so that later i can symlink my home's subdirectories i.e downloads, docs, music, etc to my HDD. So as to ensure bigger storage space. I want to know Which partitioning scheme for the HDD i. Logical or physical File system for my HDD partition eg Ext4, Ext3 or FAT32 Mount Point i should create for it(if anything in specific)

13:45 "Going above that.." Higher fps gives you less delay. This is important in competitive games such as cs, valorant. But for games with single player stories, This can be useful to use less power. My real example: 60 fps valorant vsync: 80 ms delay no fps limit (180 fps) valorant: 40 ms delay.

You know I tried a lot of things over the years, my most recent was de bloating windows 11, went from 180 to around 70 processes, and what I've found that a bone stock Windows install opting out of most of the data collection did not change my gaming performance much compared to the de bloated OS, but what I found was the RGB software that hammers the FPS more than anything, unfortunately most RGB crap uses software as a controller so the amount of calls it makes even for a static color kinda hurts FPS. But leaving the preinstalled bloat and the weather, all that bull crap really didn't change much in terms of gaming performance, at least not with my 5900x and 3080ti and 32GB of ram. I do de bloat to a point though, I dont want preinstalled bull crap, im not going to use Hulu on my PC, or Netflix, I run a Jellyfin Media server with a ton of movies to avoid paying for that stuff, or groovy music, yeah nope, it can go. Data collection yeah i'll disabled that bull crap. But I do want to leave the OS mostly alone, debloating too much does break some things that I might use or need later down the road. The PC I use for my windows server, I de bloat the crap out of it, if I don't need it, its gone, Windows 10 on it with Jellyfin and Pihole, im just under 1GB of ram usage and rough around 60 processes.
