I love that when you were reading Master Freeze you managed to read the effect of it putting stacks of freeze on you, then read the regular effects of freeze, do a lot of mental calculations about the damage you would take from the stacks of freeze, and completely miss the text in between these two parts, that said you would become immune to the damage dealt by freeze.

I appreciate that you tried to make it simple because my brain still turned mush initially. But as the video went on and you showed off the mechanics you prioritized, like poise, meditation, and how the build relied on standing still, I began to understand a little better. As always, I really enjoy learning about all the intricate mechanics from you!

I love how every turn all of those messages are speeding by; the game is trying to explain to you what in the world is happening, but there's just such a lot of mechanics influencing dmg output it's crazy

This game is soooo fuuun. Trying to beat the game on Newgame+8 currently and it takes a lot of discipline to get runs going at that difficulty but it's so satisfying because the harder difficulties give you WAY more XP for skill points and stat points.

One question, would this game be good for someone who never played a Traditional roguelike before? I never got into any of em because most felt really wiki-heavy/guide delenndant, which i dislike a lot

It is a pretty big jump into the deep end for a first one. I think you could absolutely have fun and win just messing around new to the genre. Personally for a _first_ I'd recommend Rogue Fable IV, it is a much easier digest and a good entry point. Then coming to this when you're ready for something extremely meaty.

the master freeze had a whole paragraph about you no longer taking freeze damage, so it would not have broken your build. not sure how you didn't read that lol

When you stream or record videos, you're having to devote part of your brainpower to not only play well, but to also be entertaining, so it becomes a lot easier to miss things. Overall though the game was very well shown off.

«classical roguelike» and «need to unlock» - is it a joke? Classical rogulikes - NetHack, Moria, ADOM, Angband, etc - doesn't lock or unlock anything, and there is no meta-progression except player's brains!
