Love the wrong way cow, she definitely has a mind of her own. Lol. As for the the lovely lady in question, I don’t think she needs a block. Have a Happy Valentine’s Day tomorrow everybody❤️

Like yourself I originally thought a block was needed, but as the trim progressed, it was obvious you had enough height on the opposite claw.

Great job!! You and the Hoof Gp are the only hoof trimmers on RU-vid who trim down the Dew Claws when there over grown. Others don't do it when they are really over grown. Keep up the great work you guys do.

Curiosity is getting the better of me Lol 😂

Even though I am a city dweller, I'm not new to animals of all kinds or farms, zoos & including the wild (used to break, breed and train horses - had over 30 dogs at one time & that's just to name a few experiences), so I can just imagine what you can experience in the few moments here and there in between trims. Especially when you are working by yourself. Each breed has it's own characteristics and among that, each animal has its own personality! I was chuckling at that cow who wanted to be "in the lime-light" and get in front of the camera. She just wanted to learn more about how the crush works and what you were doing! ha-ha @7:31 I'm going to say "No Block". I think her pain isn't in her toe area and that you can trim the outer wall at the spot to leave room for it to grow back without having to trim away the rest of her hoof from the corium. I don't see any discoloration in the toe area and the inner claw can help to carry the weight until the outer claw's outer hoof wall repairs itself.

It looks like it may be the start of a small white line? But with it being towards the heel you should be able to get away with using your other toe as a natural block?
