The heat has arrived at the garage! Between pool sessions I was able to install a new chain, chain sliders and a rear sprocket. I didn’t realize how worn out the old sliders were! Happy with the look of the new sprocket, but I’m not sure I like the new black chain. I got all these parts from Motosport.com. Their OEM parts ordering is super simple. Thanks for watching!

30 years old and it’s still an awesome bike! I’ll keep my eye out for a Vmax! 😆

Nice work. I've never used Motosport for OEM parts, may give them a try in the future.

You really had to replace the "sliders" b/c the new chain ain't cheap nor is the lower frame arm if the slider failed, you'd chew the aluminum. Is the big chain slide part(the white piece) that's down the arm a factory piece or did someone add that just for protection? I know the front slider which was brittle came on the bike but IDKnow about the other one? Anyhoo, I like to watch people work, expose problems, and to correct them. peace

The white piece is a factory parts. I ordered the replacement through the OEM parts catalog. It will be fun to see how long these new ones last

You know I don't think the chain looks cheap. I mean my personal preference is silver or painted white but black is a neutral color it doesn't elicit any connotation of cheapness or vice versa.

It’s growing on me. I think it will look really good with the front sprocket guard I want to get 👍

Just one critique is that most of your video is you saying “I’m going to do this” and then cutting to after it’s already done. For example showing you pulling the chain off after removing the link is less helpful than showing you taking the link off. Same for the stripped screws. Same goes goes for most of the rest of your videos too, even though I’m still interested because I have a 93 I’m fixing up.

@@MichaelJohnson-uf3wu fair enough. I’m a one man production so a lot of stuff gets missed as I’m figuring things out. I’ll do my best to capture more of the actual processes. Thanks for the feedback
