Just got mine in the mail today and it's already installed. Only trouble I had was the nano tape to hold the control board down seems kinda weak and not sticky enough. Otherwise it went in quick and easy. Works 100% and I love it. I used to case mod 360's back in the day so to see such an amazing product developed for this system and so well built is awesome. I love it and will definitely be showing it off. Maybe a future idea, make a "mode" or option to have the led power shut off w/fan power so the remote is not needed each and every time the system is powered on/off. I do understand maybe some will want the option to power it on but not the system but I'd say make it a option.
OH MY GOD FINALLY! and good timing because January 2023 the Warrantly of my Series S ends and i can literally do whatever i want. Please ExtremeRate: please release extra Plates like Black, Series X Like Color for Series S or some other Colors so i can modify my series S into a Beast.
Don't even know if I had a defect or not. One of the green screws broke a portion of the cable in assembly. I took it back apart and soldered the wires back together in the correct orientation. Vcc-D-G. When i turned it back on it wouldn't do anything. Threw it in the trash now that I can't possibly have a warranty on the lights now that the cable broke
Absolutely don’t mean this as a comment to discourage people from buying these kits but I’ve purchased two now from Amazon in the Uk and not appear to be defective. Struggling to get support and amazing won’t refund without sending back which is difficult because to uninstall the kit means breaking the fragile LED’s. If someone from extremerate can get in Touch ID be very grateful it was part of my sons Xmas present :-(
Well received mine today. Installed like this video described. When starting console the fan spins but the leds don't work. Please help tried everything.
@@ExtremeRate Yeah true but surely you could of done similar for the xbox one s I know the xbox one x would be difficult as fan is on the back but the one s has the fan in the same place as the series s surely it would be possible would love one for my one s
The wire that is ran towards the back of the console and out of it is an antenna used to pick up the signal from your remote allowing you to easily turn it on and off if the antenna was inside of the console with no part of it sticking out you would have to be right next to it pointing the remote at it in order for it to work
@@iExist543 Does the fan still work? If so it is remote. My remote flashed at if it was working but nothing. I changed the battery and all working. If that doesn't work contact extremerate and they will send out a replacement. But honestly battery should be easy fix.
The kit does block the fan a little but does not affect Temps at all. The outer circumference of the fan is where very little air movement happens so no air flow is blocked, if anything it helps focus the air flow like putting a spray nozzle on the end of a garden hose, the flow is concentrated and accelerated, made faster. I have this on my series s and it works just like new.
Do you have the antenna wire routed towards the back of the console and sticking out a little bit if not then your remote won't work properly and it will be difficult to turn on and off please make sure that your remote antenna wire is routed towards the back of the console and sticking out a little bit if you need to make sure refer to your instruction manual or the online instructional videos and as far as your console starting up twice before staying on you more than likely either have some loose connections or there's some sort of bare metal wire touching some other sort of bare metal I would suggest taking the console apart again and examining all the wires and connections make sure everything is securely connected and make sure no wires are pinched or possibly missing insulation causing bare wires to contact something else if so use electrical tape to cover up any wires and you should be good to go from there
@@lester9230 those stickers are simply for cosmetic purposes to cover the black screw heads to make your console seem more seamless it is purely for cosmetic purposes there's nothing printed on the stickers and when removed there is no void Mark left behind they are simply white vinyl stickers
