Never cut everything in one cut, that has the potential to short the battery positive to negative through the cutters.

There is no way I would cut both cables at the same time. That would be a direct short. That would be like a 750 amp DC welder , welding your cable shears to whatever it was in contact with. Lot of sparks, very exiting though

I’m always fearful of getting shocked. If I cut negative first then positive is there amy chance I’ll get shocked?
