I'm not trying to tell you you're wrong but insomnia is a pretty rare mental disorder. Unless you've been diagnosed you shouldn't use it in that context or people may make assumptions about you. If you have been diagnosed then you should be on medications

Josh Nolte You are completely uneducated. It most certainly does NOT mean that a person has a mental disorder, and it is NOT rare. I highly recommend that you get an education before spouting off about things you know nothing about on the internet. Primary insomnia is not related to any health problem or other problem. Secondary insomnia may be due to physical health problems like an illness or physical disease, whatever medication may be taken, and then maybe depression. Do not try to diagnose people over the internet and tell them what they do or do not have.

It's not that strange , it's just having a conversation or a loving mom or partner. When my kids were babies I used to speak softly and rub their heads as they went to bed- now they can't go to sleep without scratching their heads- Many people never had these connections in life , or were not lucky enough to be cared for . ASMR is amazing because it can trap that sensation for millions of people. It is free therapy and unconditional love for all.

I never heard of this woman before but, I must admit she did relax me..I read some of the comments below and there was one man that made a very good point..Maria stated not to judge but, she was judging people by their facial features and honestly I do not believe you can judge a person by their facial features...The best way is to get to know them by their actions...Other than that I would say it's a good way if you need help to relax and trust me, I suffer from anxiety so I need all the help I can get...

Maria can you please please please make a lullaby video. I've watched all your lullaby videos and I almost fall asleep each time but it's too short! Could you make a lullaby video and maybe loop it to be longer? Thank you :)

Maria, I just wanted to say thank you a ton for helping me fall asleep almost every night! I've had issues with getting to sleep, and staying asleep, for the past few yrs due to ptsd, and your asmr videos seem to really help put me in a calm state of mind which in turn, helps me get to sleep much easier. So, thanks for all the effort you put into your work, it is very evident. I hope you are well and God bless you, sister.

My mother was watching Dr. Oz one day, and she called me downstairs when she realized she saw you on it! She recognized you from all the times I have tried to get her into ASMR, and I just thought it was really cool to see you on TV. I'm so happy she brought back the candleholder,,,like 'Such a Good ASMR video' is imprinted in my brain and I can probably recite it word for word. It's my favorite video and seeing the candleholder (and hearing lol) almost sent me into a coma. Thank you so much Maria!

Huge fan of Maria (and a few other ASMR artist faves), and I don't even get the tingles! Not ever! I get de-stressed and drowsy. The gentling effect of their voices and facial expessions is like a sedative for me, so I rarely watch during the day. This may sound odd, but to me there is something maternal about them ... like a mother soothing a troubled child. Deeply reassuring. Thanks Maria!

The most annoying thing is when you're browsing through some ASMR videos and you're already quite relaxed, and this really loud advert comes on before your video starts and rapes your ears...
