I let the video start, I skipped through it and heard the music, then skipped to the end and read your comment. That was my exact reaction, I can’t remember him like this. So I replied to your comment and now I’m leaving this... whatever you wanna call this.

+Aaron Pullen I thought the same. He was having a hard time keeping up. Normally I have a hard time keeping up with him! He was definitely not on the top of his game here. Such a tragic loss for music.

+Aaron Pullen But I have to say, I have issues with addiction. So I can't judge. I don't know how any of them stay alive with the fame and money. Mixed with the lifestyle that comes with touring, I'd never be able to stay sober. It was hard enough to go see Atmosphere this past March without stopping by the bar to have a few drinks first. But I didn't manage to go and stay sober. First sober show in my life. Pretty awesome because I remember every moment of it! And I got the chance to meet Ant and Slug afterward and got them (and deM atlaS and PROF) to sign my vinyl of Southsiders. It was an amazing night. When I left I thought to myself "so this is what people mean when they say their high on life. Because I was on cloud nine. Never thought I could have that much fun in a bar setting SOBER. Anyway, just wanted to make sure to say I in no way look down on Michael (Eyedea) for what was going down in this performance. Just feel empathetic and sad that he lost the fight.

lisa karson Awesome! Congrats on 5 years! July 17th will be five years since my last drink, so I'm at five years too. I agree, I was totally trying to escape my feelings with booze and drugs. Starting from a young age (14) I learned how to cope with feelings by drinking. If something upset me, I would drink to forget. If something great happened, I would drink to celebrate. If nothing happened, I would drink because I was bored. No matter what, there was always a reason to escape my feelings. So even good feelings are weird sober. That show was a great example of that. It was truly the first time I saw I show sober. And at first I thought I was going to hate it. I just felt self-conscious. But when the music started it was like the world around me disappeared and it was just me and them. Music is amazing like that. Music and photography have definitely been two of the things that have saved my sanity the most. Great talking to you. Mind if I add you to my circle on google+ so we can keep in touch in the future? +Carrie Carden absolutely. they say it's a small world, like us both being at 5 yrs clean, but I'm starting to think these run ins w ppl like u are not a coincidence. I love and hate being sober. I am a weird person I have bad anxiety and I've been thru so much shit I could write a book....so I feel weird sober or not. People can say I'm nuts, man fuck people. This whole world is flaking out so bad. everyone I know. I swear it's addictive going on u tube cuz I keep meeting interesting ppl. You'll see me all over these posts. Some ppl seem to "get upset" like I post too much but fuck em. Don't ppl realize I listen to this every day and post here and there. It's like just because the comments are on the same page literally people seem to have some kind of thought or feeling that they're all posted like the same day.. which is not the case, and even if it was if you don't give a f*** for a comment skip over it I mean really wtf. nice to meet a normal person who's just nice and down to Earth. I hate the animosity on these pages-

lisa karson omg! totally agree! I suffer from anxiety too! And panic attacks. All started when I got sober. Obviously it was going on before but I was self medicating. So I feel you on that! and we have more in common than most! I hear ALL THE TIME that I talk/write too much. not just hear but everywhere on social media. it's like after Twitter ppl forgot how to read more than 140 characters! wth? but you are SO right. fuck them, and fuck the hate and negativity. I met SO many ppl that are in recovery through RU-vid. SO many! I'm truly grateful for each and every one of them. it's nice to know you aren't alone in the struggle. and just to have ppl to talk to that know what it's like to be in recovery, and deal with mental health issues. I also struggle with something called dermatillomania. Long word, but it's a form of OCD. Compulsive skin picking. I've been doing SO much better since this past Fall with my anxiety, picking, and depression, though. For 3 years I couldn't work doing my photography it got so bad after I got sober. really frustrating because it's like shit got even harder when I got sober instead of easier. a year ago at this time I didn't think I'd ever work again. I was finally able to get help and start to learn to cope without picking during times of anxiety. and once I was able to do that I felt ready to face the world again. since throwing myself back into my work things have gotten better and better. still have bad days of course. but more good than bad. and I haven't had that in years now. REALLY glad I met you! and if you ever need someone to talk to just hit me up.
