I’m a very sentimental person so I say keep it! I rarely wear makeup and like 5-6 years ago my mother in law got me a Disney eyeshadow pallet and I still have it. I’ve maybe used it once but I still have it because it’s special. ❤️

Have a lot of mixed palettes too, I call them Halfers. I keep a box of nostalgia makeup, for sure. Lipsticks, an eye duo, etc., that are significant memories from my makeup life; every once in a blue moon I may use one, too. Very much enjoyed this, although anybody's declutters also cause a little pain watching the lovely stuff get axed. I personally open up and lay out my makeup category to be decluttered by color family so I can see, all at once, how much I have that is similar. It's kinda shocking how much we buy that we already own.

I think that there are a lot of people who keep “makeup museums” like old eyeshadow pallets and blushes. I have old mascaras and Eyeshadow pallets that like changed my makeup journey. My chocolate bar palette was my first higher end eyeshadow palette and I wore it to so many dances and other important things. I still have modern renaissance I got for Christmas years ago because it was the first time someone had ever complemented my makeup in public and asked me what I was wearing. I think keeping foundations and other liquid products is iffy. But if it’s just the bottle or tube (lip sticks or glosses and such) they can hold dear memories

As far as keeping that Dream Street.. Does it make you happy? If yes, keep it 💯 you don't need to declutter something that makes you happy and is just kept for sentimental reasons 🤗. We need all the Joy we can find now a days 💯

I definitely keep my dream street palette. It Has value te me and I would really regret it not having it anymore. You can't get it anywhere anymore. I love Kathleen so I definitely keep this one is my "memory drawer" like other old palettes that have value to me that I don't use anymore. Great video btw!

I'm so glad to see you do an eyeshadow declutter video! Mostly because I wanted to see your collection 🤭 I would keep the Dream Street palette. I got rid of my original Naked palette (it was my first high end palette and the only one I used for years) and I regret it now. I guess that's mostly because I collect palettes now... 😂 I guess if you're thinking about it, I'd keep it somewhere outside of your makeup collection. I'm excited for part 2!

I think naked is a great palette For someone who likes really subdued neutral looks…but if I’m going neutral I want some serious shine ✨ 😉 I was keeping that palette mostly to do comparisons but honestly all the kids these days don’t even know what it is 🤣🤣🤣

I have a few palettes I keep for nostalgia. I figure, if it makes me sad to get rid of something, for whatever reason, what's the reason to let it go? As long as I have space for the stuff I actually use, and the item still brings me some type of joy, there's no reason to force myself to declutter it.

Nothing wrong with nostalgia! In general, I don’t seem to be much of a keepsakes person. I horrified my mother when I was moving out and she gave me this huge box of stuff from my childhood to go through and I kept virtually nothing. Maybe some day I will regret not being more sentimental with things!

I dont know why, but I cannot get Colorpop shadows to stay put on my lids, I ended up ditching them all, gave most away, threw some in the trash. The lip stuff is kind of ok....some leave that white line right where ya dont want it. Make a "makeup museum" LOL we do that where I live with a number of things, makeup, toys, collector toys, tools....you name it. I like making little museums, my next one will probably be the theme of the Post Office, worst and best career move I ever made. Anyway...I'm boppin over to the second one. Oh...it's me, Sherry lol

Watching you go through the Too Faced reminded me that I've never owned any TF eye shadow. Seems weird. But I'm not going to change it 😂 Also I'm in favor of saving a nostalgia palette or two, especially if it's old enough that it's not a great idea to pass along to someone.

I realize I'm late to the party, but I just found your channel! I have to say, yes, I definitely keep palettes for nostalgic reasons! If I'm ever really torn on a palette, I keep it. There's no harm in holding onto it, you already spent the $. Might as well let it stay until you know for certain you're sick of seeing it take up space! Especially when it comes to pricier palettes like nd or pmg! 🤗💜

I depotted the mini PMGL. it is a fast process if you have heat and parian spirit. I use them in BYOPs. Most can be duped but I like them. I also depotted all of my large ND into their own large palette (labeling each shade) then I use the Boxy palettes to make 5 pan BYOPS. I still use the too faced Peach. Sometimes I just want a satin. It’s the only remaining Too Faced in my world. I would totally use and depot some of these palettes but then you run into the problem of having too many singles. You definitely don’t prefer satins! I am getting back into them. That tiny lorac is gorgeous! I bet I have those shades. Need to make myself a little BYOP. Charlotte quads I haven’t tried. Are these quads low quality? I still haven’t tried DOC. I feel so much FOMO. Love my Sydney Grace. They go nowhere but into faves and singles.

So charlottes aren’t low quality at all…but are they worth the higher price? No, unless it’s pretty packaging that you’re craving that day. I just know that depotting doesn’t help me use things more frequently…but I may decide to do that with the larger ND pans I kept! I had been considering that and mentioned it in my rankings-but wish they came pre labeled 🤣 #lazy

I do keep some of my palettes for nostalgia purposes. Once I feel like they’re too old to use so closely to my eyes, I’ll move it to a separate drawer. Full disclosure, I have over 100 eye shadow palettes and I don’t even have a good excuse for collecting this many so you might not want to take my advice 😂.

If you are debating on whether to declutter or not , just take photo/video of the palette as keep sake instead of the whole palette since you probably wouldn't use it again or if you have space/separate storage outside your collection to keep those unused ones and you really don't wanna declutter it then keep it

It’s not awesome. Really waste to decutter a lot. If few that fine, give friend or family won’t be a problem. I never decutter own of all palettes I love them. I know some women and u will keeping buy, buy, buy it then decutter it in the future. It’s keep circle and waste it.

Natalia it has been SO nice to have this done. 1️⃣ I have more space and it’s easier To see what I have and therefore USE it 2️⃣ this has really made me look hard now at new releases and realize that I don’t need most(all) of it, and wouldn’t use it much after the initial ooh-ahh moment. I actually liked the gingerbread spice palette more Than modern Renaissance because it had a bit more Of a color range (and more shimmers lol)
