@@RetroGameCouch yeah! I also have the BennVenn ElCheapo SD 2.2, and it also seems to work okay. But it has no rtc and the save states only transfer to the card when you long press the button before turning the gameboy off

@@RetroGameCouch Got it yesterday and it works great. But for the Analogue Pocket you need firmware 1.05e. Its not working with 1.04!!!

That functionality is part of the GBA itself. I have a 3D-printed cartridge (just plastic, no electronics) that when inserted triggers the GB/GBC mode and with that inserted, L and R change the screen.

Can you tell me more about this? Sounds like a cool hack.

@@RetroGameCouch Just get a 3D-printed GB or GBA slot dust cover off Thingiverse and plug it in your system. As long as it pushes the parts inside the slot like a real GB game it makes the GBA boot in the other mode. I have a GBA slot cover that I found out by accident triggers the GB mode on my SP. I'm unsure if it was designed to print that way or if it happens due to the shape coming out a little weird. You could similarly use the empty shell of a GB game without a PCB inside to do the same thing.

I have kind of a weird response. I happen to have an EZ flash JR, Gamebit screwdriver set and a few random cartridges here at my desk. The EZ flash case appears to be a clone of the GBC version but the screw hole is in a different position, that's your biggest hurdle. It could be done, I guess it depends on how creative you are. The board itself fits. Once you have a solution for the hole you'll have to make a few dremel cuts for everything to sit perfect and have access to the sd card. Good luck!

It's not responding with mine, I have to update the EZflash JR though but I'm not holding out any hope.

You have to press the reset button on the EZ Flash while it’s in the Superboy and it will work

The Omega is a Game Boy Advance cartridge and therefor will only fit an GBA or DS. Furthermore it relies on emulation for Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. Therefor you can not use the link cable in those game for example. The Junior is a Game Boy cartridge and will fit every Game Boy, but can only do Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. But it does not use emulation, so you can use the link cable.

it does barely function on the gbp, but often it will flicker or reset on the startup animation. has trouble saving when batteries are low. this is from my experience playing on a backlit (old method) bivertless gbp with 270ohm resistor on the panel, rechargeable AAA's.

Yes, you just have to click the button on the EZ Flash while the SNES boots

You have probably unzipped them inside the flash drive. 1) Remove those files from the flash drive. 2) Ensure that you zip and unzip them in a folder _on your desktop,_ then 3) Ensure that they have the .gb or .gbc file type. 4) format the flash drive the way the readme file says. 5) insert needed files as the video entails. Failing that, re-obtain your roms and follow from step 3. I don't know why this makes a difference, but apparently it does.

IF they have a different suffix like .7z or .7zip then it likely has a different compression type you're likely not aware of.

@@RetroGameCouch right I did, that button is actually missing… I bought it second hand, do you have any suggestions on how to replace it? It looks like it was micro soldered to the board

I don't have an Everdrive, but I like the price point of the EZ Flash better. It does everything I want.
