thank you JefferyJ I have only owned my laser a few days and people like you are way more helpful than the documentation coming from China.Mine was off a bit and now it is right on so I can engrave exactly where I need to. I has using a bit of Kentucky windage but having it precise is so nice.
Hey Jeffrey, this video was very helpful! thank you. I was wondering how you get your light mark to be in the middle of the marking field of the laser base, mine goes near the top and to the left.
My red light isn't in sharp focus when the laser is perfectly focused. Shouldn't it be? And how can I fix that? It causes mild alignment issues because the light is fuzzy and I can't place it perfectly. Thank you.
Hi Jeffery..I have just got my Fiber Laser Marking machine.....my problem is that when I push F1 so I can see the reed laser beam...it is not straight..it is a little heigher in the left side..I made a straight line in EZCAD2 and that is how I could see the problem...Can I do something in EZCAD2 software to corect that ...hope you will answer med..Kim from Denmark
Thanks for the very informative videos and files...very helpful! I just got a Chinese fiber laser marker with a 30W Raycus laser. I'm having a similar problem as the prior commenter. Red dot marker is spot on with mark, optimal focus length is ~250-255mm for a f=254 lens. But when it marks, the red trace that follows is about 8mm up and left of the actual laser beam. Now, I don't care about this from an aesthetics perspective. My issue is that the marks are VERY light and there's no sizzle. At 90% power, 20kHz, 100 mm/s, with hatching, I'm barely cutting through anodized coating. Downloaded and ran your test grids...they barely mark. Is there some software and/or hardware alignment step to make sure this is optimized? I'm questioning mirror alignment and the mismatch between beam and the trace mark that follows while marking as some alignment issue that I can't find in the manual or anywhere online. And I'm really hoping it's not a power or laser module issue. Any thoughts? Thanks!
@@jefferyj Thanks for the reply! Yes...but I was able to fix it. I popped the chassis on the arm holding the laser probe, just to check...low and behold, the probe was installed slightly crooked! I loosened, straightened, resecured, and it it works wonderfully! I was impressed with the quality of components and overall build, but QC is definitely an issue with these. They had adjusted the red dot to -7mm to account, instead of correcting the probe alignment. I had to readjust myself (in fact, exactly to 0) to align perfectly.
@scurvy21 im having the same issue currently with my raycus 50 watt fiber laser it is not giving me any depth at all at anything i have done. What exactly did you do to correct it? i probably have the same problem as you did.
@@juangonzalez-gu4nv The issue I had was that the emitter was literally crooked. Pop the cover on the arm and check alignment with the mirror. I just loosened, eyeballed to straighten and center, and reconnected. Fixed it completely.
Thanks for the reply. The cover you are talking about is the long one on the arm correct? Will look into it and see if thats whays causing my issue also
Hey Jeffrey, can you help me make the red dot appear? The machine does the marking, but I cannot see where it will be marked because the red dot does not appear.
Hi Jeffery! Thanks for the videos! I had my 30w laser machine and worked perfect but just bought a new one and I can’t seem to adjust the red dot on the origin. I just want it to be always in the origin and when I mark something it starts moving to the edges of the design. I don’t know if there is a setting that I need to do. Any ideas ?
You tried the procedure in this video and the red light pointer won't move? Do you have a video of this behavior so I can better understand? Also, check out these two facebook groups for a bunch of laser info: facebook.com/groups/440091022989424/ facebook.com/groups/300139820848489/
Should the artboard size in EZCad map to the entire work area on the laser's bed? I pushed some art to the bottom left corner as much as it could co and I still had a lot of room left on the bed. I'm not sure how to calibrate it.
Hello Jeffery I recently purchased a fiber laser machine from China and everything is working fine but when I type long texts, the texts come out wavy, and also the square is not perfect square, it’s a little bent on the top left, could you please help me solve this problem
Currently learning a fiber laser. Works great but every now and then the software provided is a little janky. Could I ask what software this is and if it's publicly available?
Hey Jeffrey, We own a China made laser with Ezcad2 as software. I am facing issue with the marking area preview. When I use Light(F1) (in my case Red(F1)) there is no display of the red square preview under the laser. Please if you could help me it will be really helpful
Hi my frnd i put new lense 100mm to 200mm, laser working ok but the red light is blurr and bolt, when i take it more higher than red light goes sharp amd good but at this hight laser can not work, any solution how to make it sharp,
Assuming it's installed properly and you've found the new focal length, my guess would be that the lens may have been touched during the install. Check if it's clean.
@@jefferyj dear i have checked it and clean it 2 times, but on working its very good, if i higher the lense than it is thin and sharp, but on actual focus where it mark, can not be clear, is the lense is not compatible
@@Mr31nomi red light blur it’s based on finger pointing in lens touched that’s it.. or what is the reason to you change the lens first find the correct reason for it. Then work for it otherwise u can’t find the solution
Hi.. i got, the same 20w laser and the only difference is that it's fixed on its table! I got an issue which I have been dealing with. The red dot beam is not following the mark laser beam. When I light it (F1) the red light is perfect on edge! But when laser starts marking (F2) the red dot is just slightly down couple of mm! Do you know how to deal with this? Thank you!
You've tried to adjust the position of the red light prediction to match the actual marking like I show in the video? You should be able to move it a few mm.
First, I want to thank you for the fast reply ant to say that I haven't seen a youtube channel about these Chinese lasers so detailed and that someone made a good effort to make them along with all small details! I m a fan! :D Second : I didn't do like you have shown in the video because it was already set... and my red beam is matching my marking line but when it is marking the red beam and laser beam are not matched....example : if it is marking a number a laser beam its starting to mark the metal but red beam is couple mm late... It's not something that is so important but it is kinda annoying for a man who likes things tidy... if u understand! and one more question...do you have your user manual in word or maybe u can tell me where I can find it on the internet because I didn't get any of user manuals except how to connect wires? Thank you in advance!
@@wasco035 Oh, do you mean there's a timing issue? Have you adjusted your laser on/off time like in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KKmpiMiHXjg.html Also, the ezcad manual is available in the links to this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gAhNCu6hHME.html Link here too: www.dropbox.com/s/mojxi0ngj0ixkta/EZCAD%20User%20ManuaL.pdf?dl=0
Hi Jeffery. I recently purchased a 30w machine with 200x200 work area. When engraving, my laser does so with a considerable error from the centre line of the output lens. Even though my text/image etc is centred 'in' the software. No amount of X/Y parameter adjustments seems to correct the error. Moving the 'red-dot' is simple, but moving the galvos to compensate is impossible (I think). It is as though the galvos have been "nudged" in transit and need realigning. Any advice [from anyone] is appreciated. Cheers, Tim
