I need to go back to southern France. Fell in love with that area during a college trip in 83. Spent time in Nice and absolutely had a blast. One day. One day I'll get back there.

That was a spectacular spot to visit. They were hardy folk that built the place. Imagine lugging all the building materials up those hills.

Loving seeing rural France, I do love the USA but when I saw you wandering through cobbled streets and eating at restaurants with their tables outside all my memories from European holidays came flooding back - makes me want to book a trip somewhere more "local" ;) only thing is going to the states I've come to expect certain standards with our accommodation which I know I would have to temper if I went back to Europe (or it would cost a fortune!) Not sure I'd have made it up that hill though!! You've definitely given us food for thought ... that is after our Orlando trip in 2 weeks and our Vegas holiday next April hahaha

Love the videos. Thanks. Nick, have you ever thought you could be lactose intolerant. Can happen fairly suddenly. Happened to me. Same symptoms. Now have Lactose free milk (been so much better) and limited milk products and or take tablets if "I need" ice cream 😂 xx

Great Vlog south of France was my first trip abroad canoeing down the Ardeche and bivouac on its banks.. with no light pollution the sky and shooting stars were out of this world ❤

It wouldn’t of occurred to me that mosquitoes would be such a problem in France, but I guess they’re a problem everywhere. Some really spectacular views in Èze, though I’m not sure my knees would have held up going up and down hills so much.

If you get a chance go to St Paul De Vence its amazing - go to Colombe D'or restaurant !

You are literally walking in the footsteps of a trip we did last year…. Valbonne and Eze and you even ate in the same restaurant in Eze 😮. Unfortunately you will already be back by the time you read this, but if you didn’t do it this trip….. ideas for next trip are Gorge du Verdon it is absolutely gorgeous and has great activities for kids, also Ile St Marguerite is a lovely boat trip from either Cannes or Mandelieu with great views back to Cannes. Take a pack lunch and have a swim and wander around the island. Mandelieu La Napoule is also a lovely area and a great little protected sandy beach and it has a big free carpark close by. Mandelieu also has a great Asian grocery store, if you are cooking at home and craving some spicy dishes 😉. If you have the kids along then a lake near Fayence (Lake St Cassien) has a fabulous water inflatable park which they would love. Happy travels 😊. P.S. Am loving watching you convert the van, I would love it but hubby is a definite no 😂

Beautiful village, if you think that reminds you of game of thrones, then you need to visit Dubrovnik where kings landing is set..stunning full of little streets with hidden gems round each corner

Very enjoyable vlog. I would love to go to the south of France ever since I heard Louis Jordan say he would drive every year from Paris to Nice stopping at all the small villages on the way. I almost ran into him at the Areboretum where they filmed Tarzan and Fantasy Island. Was he ever a handsome guy. Loved him in Gigi.

Great tip re French pronunciation. Never say the last letter of the word. I.e. Cannes is pronounced Canne (Can), Eze is Ez, Paris is Pari (Paree). Beautiful place though. We did it as a day trip on a cruise when we stopped in Villefranche Sur Mer.
