27:50. I don’t think you can reactivate the elder on this turn to get +2 red banners. They’re used only once, on the turn you play them.

54:07 Great runthrough as always. I just played my first solo game, and I’m rewatching this to see what rules I may have missed, but I think I found one you missed. When you take one of the 3 hero cards, you don’t necessarily get all 3 bonuses. In round 1, you only get the first bonus. In round 2, you get the first and second. In round 3, you get all 3 bonuses.

Great video! I received my game last Thursday and got it to table yesterday along with your video. It takes me a cpl days to get through the long playthroughs. One thing I noticed is that the solo scheme cards for my game are a bit different than yours. I'm struggling with remembering all these rules and options but it's such a great game! I'm probably going to play 2 handed until I get these rules sunk into my brain. I always look for your playthroughs first when I get a new game to learn. I'm mostly a solo player. Thanks again!

At approximately the 47:00 minute mark when you filled a temple sector, you resolve all effects under the temple. You resolved only the first one.

Excellent video. A question. All the reviews say that this game is hard to win, but I saw that you overcame the bot very easily and it seems that the red banner strategy is the best to start the game. Is it possible that this game is really not hard and there is a definite strategy to win? This caught my attention in many other videos I saw. Greetings

Thanks! It didn’t feel easy 😂 I’ve had success going strong into scrolls early too, and Shem mentioned in the chat his best score so far was from building all his walls so I think it’s all valid. The bot has been changed since my prototype too so it favours the temple less and is more aggressive with walls

finally released in Australia. Glad solo mode is starting to be incorporated in more euro games. hopefully retail version will keep it and not remove. add to cart.

Garphill are great for their solo modes, it’ll be in the retail version for sure 🙂

yeah, not that great. i have absolutely 0 interest in solo and have to pay for some components that i then throw away. i actually don't know anyone interested in solo. i would much rather have a cheaper version without the solo components, and those can be sold separately and who wants them can get them. ofc, the insert should still be designed to fit solo components and sleeved cards.

That's a strange way of looking at things, it's impractical and how much money do you think taking a player board and a handful of cards out of this game would save? Then they've got to make packaging for and ship the solo components around, it's a lot of extra money to solve nothing. I mainly play 2 player and solo (there are dozens of us!) but I don't begrudge games having components for more players in the box :D

You’ll be able to get it later if you’d prefer - Garphill have got a pretty great track record of Kickstarters at this point though 🙂

I don’t blame you for that reaction, but Garphill treats KS more like a preorder system. Their campaigns are simple and straightforward because the games are usually in production when the campaign starts. They are always on time, often early in delivery. That said, everything they put on KS is available at retail soon after, so waiting for that is reasonable too.
