And then spent the entire trial attempting to vilify him and accuse him of everything under the sun, from selfishness and emotional abuse to actual attempted rape.
Exactly. I'm sorry l MURDERED your son. I wanted to reach through my screen when she said "l loved Alex, l felt a great loss" and slap her. What a garbage she is.
The hate I have for Ezra is one thing, however the absolute disgust I have for her attorney, continuously interrupting the judge and then suggesting it would be “healing” to contact Alex’s family in the future is SICKENING. Absolutely sickening.
For fucking real. An RO/NC order can be modified in court at a later time if there is a need for it. To suggest that anything that the judge ordered today would be written in stone until the end of time is bonkers and her attorney has known that since the first semester of law school. The insignificant “ease” that this could solve down the road is outweighed by incalculable factors for the emotional pain that hearing that suggestion at that moment would cause the family. I’m impressed by the composure of the judge at that moment to understand that while the request was ridiculous, it was technically reasonable and should be considered. I would have lost my mind as a human railing into that attorney for putting him in a situation where he would have to agree to it, thus causing more pain to the family.
She didn't say it would be healing to contact his family. She said his family might find it healing to contact her. If the family decides in 30 years they want closure by contacting the murderer, why stop them?
agreed. this woman is extremely manipulative, and im sure will spend her time plotting her sob story to be released. she would use and abuse whoever the hell she needs to to secure some release, and i am SURE within a year she will have some love interest on the outside. people like ezra scare the hell out of me.
Thanks for the update. I enjoy the thought of her going to bed every night in a noisy, stinky prison with her head right next to her toilet-sink combo.
"I'm sorry that they've lost their son" - as if they left him somewhere, and can't remember where. WTAF?? What a psycho. She had the opportunity to not come off as a complete monster and she blew it.
@@sunnyadams5842that case woke me up quickly! I barely knew of those 2 celebs and didn't think that a pretty, successful, wealthy woman would make something up. Wow did that trial disabuse me of my incorrect assumptions. I now know that some women are dangerous and there is never enough money or attention to satisfy them.
The immense satisfaction I get hearing the judge tell her she’ll be serving life in prison with a review of a parole in 50 years and seeing her in such a panic and daze, breathing heavily to where a simple cough causes her to be startled… Yes, yes. Let reality hit you hard. Truly a piece of shite.
No matter how awful she is. I still can’t take pleasure at her pain. She deserves to be in prison for the remainder of her life, but seeing her suffer doesn’t make me happy ya know?
@@illswift5 well congratulations on ur empathy. Its not happiness sometimes the bad guys get caught. No justice will ever be served but atleast in this case if there is anything to be “happy” about is that she locked up since she committed the murder.
Agree with you both. Dangerous, unpredictable, sociopathic individual. Wisconson still looks...kind. But merica, please. Stop letting lunatics run your asylum. 😖
Love how this revolting person ran through her whole playlist of fake expressions throughout the trial: smirking, simpering, anxious, and finally sad - everything but genuinely remorseful and ashamed. 😀😌😨🥺
@Blackheathenly yeah she definitely did that a few times. Type of person to have always gotten away with their bull shit and never got their ass beaten.
Not once did she verbalize the loss was her fault. I'm amazed at how much she avoided taking responsibility while making it sound like she cares on the surface
It’s incredible how blatantly this is completely her fault. She made so many choices like cheating on her boyfriend, making false rape allegations, going back to see Alex, lying repeatedly to detectives and on the stand. It’s just wild
I think she lied about being pregnant aswell and the whole "I don't want you to see me do this" was BS so he didn't catch on that she was lying she probably went and tried to find another victim in another coffee shop.
And yet every word of her "apology" was self serving and didn't acknowledge any of her fault. Every word dripped with narcissism. As for the "did you see it happen?" nonsense, there's more than one way to prove how something happened. That's what circumstantial evidence is all about.
It’s sad a lot of women do this these days. They run around having sex with random men because they were brainwashed into thinking that’s empowering. Then it hits them and then realize they made a mistake and regret it after the fact and claim grape. She even sad herself she regretted having sex with her bf best friend so she filed charges but refused to give her phone records up because the proof was in the pudding. What’s even worse is the women out there that will still defend her even after knowing she filed those charges in bad faith just because she regretted it after the fact. It’s toxic feminism. The worst thing that ever happened to women was and still is feminism. Women are more miserable and depressed than they’ve ever been and 9/10 times it stems from the feminism brainwashing.
Ugh. Her pitifully thin apology where she takes no responsibility. I bet this poor judge is GLAD this is over! He was very kind, lenient, and thoughtful with that farcical defense team.
The defense has to put up the best defense they can, otherwise she will get another trial. They did the best they could with a case they had no way of winning. The defense team didn’t do anything morally wrong.
@shanecrump7932 well said. It's easy to h8 on defence attorneys because they defend the lowest of the low. But these guys did a great job with a difficult defence IMO. They were thorough, always on the ball, tenacious and really worked to make the prosecution prove their case.
I feel like they did their best. Because of the amount of random falsehoods and fabrications made by the defendant in her interviews, statements, texts, etc., the defense arguments were farcical. There was no other possibility.
I really admire this judge. I like how he recapped the key instant & character of this person. This judgment would forever be on the record. The appeal (s) judge would read this judgment in full upon review. Great job Judge! I think I said that right!
I love that Exra dropped the “I’m so sad and like a sad puppy judge” expression to a look of hatred and anger when the judge told Ezra the sentence. That’s what poor Alex saw as he was ambushed and stabbed mercilessly. What an absolute sociopathic narcissist.
But he carved "Boy" onto the inside of her left forearm. I thought that was the smoking gun and she'd be acquitted. Lol, she actually thought her Gender Dysphoria would make a difference in court.
Defense interrupting the judge!! Then justifying it with Supreme Court decisions! Just to add something SHE forgot to mention. This judge was VERY patient with both defense attorneys.
@@shanecrump7932she's defending someone who doesn't have a full deck, so she has to play every card she has. Otherwise, lil Ezzy might say she wants a new trial based on ineffective counsel.
The problem is that, out of politeness, people didn’t just laugh directly in her face at every opportunity. I think that she STILL doesn’t understand that she’s a preposterous little trifler.
The judge rambling on and on and on and then dropping the life sentence with 50 years served before the first parole hearing (first of many hopefully) and then rambling on and on and on was cruel and unusual punishment, and I heartily approve. Two thumbs up!!!
I was thinking that myself, as i was hitting the K key repeatedly, to skip ahead. My thoughts were, “thank goodness the judge doesn’t like hearing himself talk!” :-)
How dare she?!? Compares her pain to the pain and loss of a parent losing a child. And her hands. Completely preventable. Completely predictable. All about Ezra. This insensitive and empty apology should not have been allowed.
She can because she is psychopath sociopath and Most importantly she is narcissistic criminal and her family is always help her to grow her these personalities. So she keeps trying to hurt Alex's family it shows how much rage, anger and hate she is having for Alex. That's why she still trying to hurt Alex's family.
@@Emily-fo2xoYou have to look at the entire case to understand why she’s evil. This wasn’t just a moment where she lost her mind and did something horrific. She tried to lie and manipulate and didn’t care who she hurt along the way. She killed Alex, she tried to get John put in prison by making up a story that he sexually assaulted her and she manipulated Jason the whole time they were together. Not to mention she was actively cheating on him with 2 of his closest friends. She has a history of hurting people for her own benefit. That is what an evil person does.
First time I thought she was polite & reasonable, second time I was thinking “seriously stop interrupting” third time when she was arguing about time served it made me furious! By the fourth time I was thinking SHUT THE F*CK UP! Then she interrupted the judge multiple times after that 🙄 I realize his speech was quite long compared to most but I thought that just showed how seriously he took this decision & how much thought he put into it. I didn’t watch the entirety of this trial but I’ve watched many videos from creators about the case so I’m familiar with the case itself. I can’t speak to the attorney’s conduct during the trial but she seemed extremely disrespectful during this hearing in my opinion.
Loved the sentence. I’m here for it. Intentional homicide deserves the rest of a life behind bars to protect society period. Girl is nuts and is where she belongs.
i don't know, i think after 30 years behind bar you are no longer a selfish teenager that can't see the consequence and act like a manipulative child , so for me 30 years it's the right sentence in this case
@@razoo911A life for a life. This should be the only justice if it was not an accident. We have to protect the public like the judge mentioned in the sentencing.

"sorry doesn't cut it in my mind" wow she thinks her oration is so deep... then goes on to acknowledge people's pain without assuming responsibility and the cherry on top "I also feel a great loss" so she brings everything back to her... because she is all she thinks about.
That was a pathetic show of fake tears. She didn't even take responsibility at all. As if Mr Woodworth died of his own accord. That psycho freak deserved her sentence.
You know whats really sad about this case aside from the loss of life? she never even understood any of Alex’s writing. shes not even literate or well read, when shes asked to read excerpts of his writing she constantly mispronounces shit he wrote.
She's a pseudo-intellectual. She knows just the bare minimum to create a veneer of intelligence, but underneath she is completely primal in nature. She does whatever she wants and ignores the consequences because she spent her whole life shirking responsibility, she runs around like a manic pixie girl but she's actually just a cancerous shitheel who leaves a wake of ruin behind her. Now she's in prison, she'll understand what it means to be a victim because those bitches don't play cute games. Actually, maybe she'll do well, she'll be surrounded by hundreds of women who are exactly like her.
@@Aflacist Judges have to cover literally everything at a sentencing hearing, especially for one as serious as 1st degree intentional homicide, so that they can't be accused of misleading the convicted person which could be used in an appeal attempt.
@@Aflacist He didn’t ramble at all. All judges cover their reasons for the sentence they’re about to hand out. They are called the Gallion Factors. Most judges thoroughly explain their sentence decisions - especially when they know an appeal will be filed.
12:50 Defense council interrupts the judge, who is in the middle of saying what a horrible liar the defendant is, to point out some random previous encounter with law enforcement where the defendant lied horribly. Shrewd.
She spoke about what a gentle guy he was but not one word about the poor moose. He was devastated after killing the poor, innocent moose. I'd even say he hated himself. It was a huge deal to him but she couldn't have read it because she never said a word about it. I feel so bad for that moose, I've never forgotten him. 💔
This was a fascinating trial, and I’d have never heard of it if you hadn’t uploaded it, tied up so nicely with titles and a playlist. I’m still shocked by this case, and will probably watch the whole thing again sometime.
I had to push myself to think of her again. It must’ve been close to the event and another time that this case got to me. Recently, it reoccurred in my feed relentlessly. So, I wasn’t allowing Ezra in this time. Trying to get into her mind is not worth it.
I’ve watched several of her interrogations and court appearances. First, it is very hard to continue to listen to her lies. Off topic, somewhat, i suspect her cutting her hair, looking boyish, was a thin attempt to appeal to gender politics….pitiful. She’s a despicable person. Her apology was deplorable…again, hard to listen to. She will never be an honest contributor to society.
Off topic . . . and wrong. You got it reversed. Ezra had gender identity struggles for a long time. Her default look was boyish. She grew out her hair and wore makeup during the trial to look more feminine. Here, after already being convicted, she was like "fuck it" and went back to her usual look.
Interesting take. If you want painful listen to her on the stand. The narrator, @dreading, reads excerpts from her journal. Now that's painful. What's heartbreaking is she spouts utter, boring, self-indulgent rubbish whereas Alex's writing is often thoughtful, intelligent, understandable and descriptive. The difference is so glaring I wonder whether part of this thing's motivation to murder Alex was because she resented his talent.
I think the judge took so long, because the defense kept interjecting, and I also think he wanted to address the family on why a specific sentence would be given, but also needing to choose his words wisely because of the defense
Thank you! I wish I had come across this comment earlier. I think he did a fair and adequate job, and seemed sincere, professional, and well intentioned; but it seems pretty obvious he hasn't tried many murder cases. During sentencing, it almost seemed as if every time he got near to actually saying the length of time, he back pedaled. He seemed almost nervous to me, as if he was worried about reaction to his statements. I've really never heard sentencing run so long, and yet say so little. I would have loved to see the Wisconsin judge of the Chandler Halderson case handle this.
That attorney arguing at the end - basically interrupting the judge - to argue about a 9 day difference in credit for time served in a 50+YEAR SENTENCE was just ridiculous. She starts he coughing fits at the times negative stuff is being said about her client; she stops the judge before he’s made it clear he’s done talking to argue about a 9 day difference on a life sentence, etc., it’s all just tactics of a butthurt defense attorney who lost her case. All 3 of those attorneys should have the bar association look at this case second by second to see the atrocious behavior of those lawyers.
I like that the judge put thought into not allowing her to apply for parole within his parents lifetimes. They can now put all the legal trauma behind them for the rest of their lives. The grief will never leave them but they at least get peace of mind that she won't be released till after they have gone. Conversely she will also probably never get to go to her own parent's funerals in that timeframe too.
She's appealing already... lost the first appeal with this same judge... it now goes to supreme in the area? Then final is US supreme? Unsure how it works but they still cannot put the legal worries behind them. I just wish they would sue her for wrongful death (I think that's the term) to ask for compensation of a few millions so she stops making money from he "art" being sold from prison.
@@patrynunesI mean you CAN but you typically only do it to rich people. You said it yourself, her uh "art" is worthless. Ambulance chasers need feux lobster
Absolutely No Remorse and a flimsy apology! Bet his Mom wants to slap her for that. She has to pay for the Funeral. Oh Holy Cow! That Defense Attorney is the most annoying ...Does she Ever stop interrupting?
35:52 Judge basically notes 683 days credit for time served after her arrest. Yet that useless, rude, defense atty interrupts the judge, again, that it should be 692 days. REALLY???? You have the audacity to interrupt the judge, DURING sentencing, for 9 FU**ING DAYS???!!! Take note on who NOT to ever hire.
Ezra said it felt it would look better to look feminine for the trial then changed right after. Makes me think she was just putting a show on. She loves Alex enough to stab him 17 times 😡 poor Alex
Shes extremely good at manipulating people. I honestly think that is what has played into her taking some of the identities that she's taken, because they can be so effectively used to control and manipulate people. The audacity that she had when trying to call her BF "toxic" or "controlling" when he tried to tell her that he didn't feel comfortable with how physical and flirty she was with guys, only to turn around and try to constantly control who HE was "allowed" to hand out with, it all points to an extremely nasty person.
She looked and dressed that way to sway the jury, unfortunately, she did not come across well, she showed no care on the stand and even laughed inappropriately at times, she doodled throughout the trial even on days when the evidence was very intense and made excuses for said doodling. This women had absolutely no understanding that she was on trial for her life and thought the only way to play it was to lie and entice the jury with the ‘sweet little girl look’ because that was her go to all her life. She had gotten away with her conniving, lying attitude most of life and I believe she thought this would be no different. She was absolutely shocked when she was found guilty, a bit like Jodi Arris looked. Until that moment I believe these women don’t even realise how much trouble they really were in and their confidence to lie to get there overrode any fear they might have had. Jodi Arris mother even said when Jodi was in jail she had no fear and no idea how much trouble she was in. That’s not ‘normal’ behaviour but then they do say to be psychopathic is to have no fear and have absolutely no awareness of how they come across to others. They ape others emotions because they don’t know what those emotions actually feel like and if you are not a good actress then it’s blatantly obvious to the observer that they don’t fit the feeling they are trying to emulate. Don’t let these women out, EVER!
Sorry for the loss of their son - not that "I killed your son." And the fake shakey voice and no tears while she "cries." Horrid and cringeworthy. She doesn't GAF. She just wants the attention.
I’ve watched a couple other videos about this girl.. Destroying peoples lives was like a game to her. She refused to grow up and get a job, and resorted to mooching off of everyone around her. She was miserable and had nothing better to do than create drama amongst her friend groups. She was so desperate for attention that she needed to cheat on her bf with TWO of his closest friends, then killed one of them when she ultimately couldn’t have her way. Anybody that told this girl “no” was an “abuser” or “toxic” 😒😒
50 years, she didn’t appear upset, no reaction just blank. Weird, but no doubt she thinks future appeals will change her sentence, doesn’t sound like there’s much hope of that. Do the crime do the time.
Those poor parents - not only did she plan and carry out the murder of their son, she has the nerve to say SHE LOVED HIM! Oh man, as a parent, I'd be screaming my lungs out at her!!
If she was truly sorry wouldn’t she at least tell the family how he was killed and exactly what happened. She’s a monster for allowing Alex’s family to live the rest of their lives without the entire story. That’s why I believe she’s not actually sorry.🤷🏻
that was creepy to watch her expression go from 'sad little girl' to killer daggers after Judge said 50 years and the more he talked the more her expression became more evil.
Appeal has begun as of 7/3. Minimal tv coverage (as in one local channel). Her family was all their in support. Very hard to watch her dap her folks. She grew out her hair just like she said she would for Jason. I think it’s important for the people who haven’t been completely sucked dry from this horror to let her know that we still see her for what she is. I’ll take that burden.

She probably shouldn't have testified. Just like any other narcissist, they think they can explain their way out of a conviction. I wonder what kind of plea deal she was given. If she was given one, she probably should have taken it. It wasn't like she didn't know what kind of evidence the prosecution had against her. Her lawyer didn't do her any favors either. She should have told her to plead out. I watch too much true crime.
Her lawyer will have told her to plead, yes. But ultimately the lawyer cannot force her. The lawyer has to represent her even when her defence is ridiculous
Some people sabotage their defense. She needs to be a victim. Either she succeeded in convincing her defense team or she was stubborn. They gambled and lost. I am so grateful she won’t be out until her 70’s. She has no conscience.

Psychopaths always use the wrong emotions or dialogue because they have no soul. They have to guess what emotion or response is appropriate and they usually get it wrong.
13:50 *Bringing up PTSD from a CAR ACCIDENT & saying she suffered from a dissociative disorder from it is fucking ludicrous.* Probably 99.999% of us have experienced trauma in our lives, that's no excuse of course, but to claim a dissociative state when she repeatedly said, in interviews, _she remembers car accidents and remembered them well._ Also, her lawyer saying _"I hate to interrupt the court,"_ is laughable considering she has many, many, MANY times, even when Alex's poor *sister* was reading an impact statement, so she has no issue interrupting 🙄 Ezra and her team have drawn this out long enough. They've traumatized this family far more than all of the feigned trauma Ezra has experienced COMBINED.

What is sad is, Ezra's lawyer is emotionally more effected and has more remorse than Ezra. Ezra is a very dangerous person, while there is a lot wrong with her, It is scary to see how she can not or just won't have real emotions on the horrible things she has done. I think she really though she could just look like a cute harmless girl and the jury would believe her lies or just not care how much she lied. Her cross examination was crazy, she kept looking over at her lawyers with daggers wondering why they could not stop her from looking so bad, but it was not their fault that she lied so much and had to answer fro that on the cross exam.

Wow. That is one of the most unconsciously narcissistic and dissociative statements I have heard in a very long time. She is sorry for their loss and their unimaginable pain while assuring the court that she too feels that pain of loss, but not an ounce of accountability. As though she is being punished for something that simply happened and is no one’s fault. Wow.
I am stunned.... I've NEVER seen an attorney interrupt the judge in the middle of his speech! Unbelievable!! Then to just blurt out, "oh, I forgot to tell the court about her completely irrelevant PTSD" 🙄
I've never heard of this and fell across it, but in her speech, not once did she admit to doing anything. That's a warning right there about how truly "sorry" she is, and her "tears" dried up right quickly once she finished speaking. I've just read the Wiki account and I'm floored. May she never get out. I don't believe she'll never pose a threat to society.
I really appreciate how the judge took his time and was extremely thorough with the explanation and reasoning behind the sentencing. I know some people thought it was unnecessary but he was a great judge that I think nailed it.
"I also feel a great loss" because" I loved him". WTF 😮 since when do we stab a man 16 times out of loving feelings? And now she's making the apology about herself in the end? That's classic narcissism. She killed (!) him but she's the victim?😂 I would say, that fake apology really backfired on her. 😅 The judge repeatedly "it was an awful heinous crime". "she intended to kill him", "it was a homicide", "she lied to this person, she lied to that person, she lied at that occasion".. ❤Well done judge.
