airshowamericadvd.com Remember when the Tomcat demo ruled the Airshow skies? This was shot at the Ft. Lauderdale Air and Sea Show, May 1999. Multiple onboard views. The vapes were awesome.
I seen a Tomcat demo when I was a kid in 1984… shockingly scary amazing. Went back in 85…same result. Went in 86 and was again amazed BUT something else happened. To end the show, there was an A-10 demo. For whatever reason, watching hearing and feeling the warthog changed me and pulled me to my destiny.
To bad I didn't go to the Naval Academy. Driving a Tomcat would've been awsome. I enlisted and was an ABH 3. So I got to work with jets and helos everyday in V1 Div. Crash and Salvage. But the aircrews were like the rock stars! Fly Navy!!
Tom Cruise only ever *rode* in the back seat of an F-14. The only time he was in the pilot's seat of an F-14 was on a sound stage. He did get his pilot's license some time after Top Gun, though.
@@kibathemechanic4967 you're wrong, tom cruise actually did all his own stunts and flew all the f14 flights. I was the assistant aviation coordinator and seen it all....
@@tomdick693 Nice try. Tom Cruise didn't start doing his own stunts until the late 90s. Just watch the special features on the DVD or Blu-ray. Several clips are even on RU-vid
@@tomdick693 by the way there aren't any flight controls in the rear seat of an F-14. Kind of difficult to do anything from back there besides regular startup procedures when you're not a trained RIO
They tried to film the actors in the backseat, but Tom Cruise could not stop puking and had to keep barfing in the back under high G turns. Bozo Lloyd who was the pilot, pulled even a few high G turns up to 9.5G turns that ended up knocking out a few actors (G-LOC). They ended up scrapping all of the footage and the footage of the cockpit was shot in a soundstage in Hollywood with a crashed F-14 cockpit as the prop in which they sat. It is in the special edition DVD.
This is literally the WORST posting of that video ever. All of you do yourselves a favor...search for it on youtube and find the full video WITHOUT music and with voice comms.
