It was infact, not quick and dirty. 00:00 - Key Bindings 03:03 - Verify Checks 05:20 - Engine Start 10:00 - After Engine Start 12:44 - Before Taxi 18:11 - Before Takeoff
Some corrections from Tiago himself!: - Right engine should be min 22% RPM before selecting right throttle from OFF > IDLE. - It appears the final keyfile has ALT + I bound to "THR: CUTOFF RELEASE - Idle Detent - Toggle" by default (It was CTRL+I in this video). - Important to note that both radios in the F-15C are UHF, the second radio (UHF2) still functions as intraflight but is not VHF like the Viper - AV BIT is WIP.
@@__Dusty_ Potato sent it to me. Thanks for the offer and looking forward to reading. The Aggressor Eagles are playable as well with CATMs and stuff right?
Thank you for this guide. I was having a miserable time starting the damn motors (I couldn't figure out the right buttons, then I had trouble with keyboard AND stick working at the same time). I'm like, "I know how to start a damn motor on an F-15, I only worked them for goddamn ever!" Seriously frustrating getting this set up. A small correction at 12:11, Set 1, 2, and 3 are for ICS, not EWWS.
@@chrisj7656 glad to hear you got it sorted and thanks for the correction. I’ll need to make a new version as there are new additions of systems coming to the Eagle in the next releases and we have the JTIDS power up procedure to add that came with U4. Did you fly Eagles or did you fix them after the pilots broke em?
Will you do a system/A-A combat tutorial? Been reading the manuals and finding it very hard to grasp, especially since in the manuals it says the coolie switch and tdc has sepperate functions yet in the Alt Launcher the binds are the same for both hats.
Hey! Yes I'll make more tutorials for sure. One thing to note about the HOTAS is that the coolie switch is labelled as the 'THR: MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH' in Alternative Launcher
Question on engine controls: is the need to switch controls from RH to LH and viceversa during start linked to the fact that there is just 1 axis on the hotas you are using? If one has a throttle with dual axis inputs and dual bindings for fingerlifts (eg. STECS) can you control both independently?
Good question! Yes if you have a multi axis throttle you can bind both throttles from the 'axis assign' tab. Currently there is a bug in the F-15 keyfile whereby the callback for 'THR CUTOFF RELEASE - Right Engine' is non-functioning. It will be fixed in U4. In the meantime, you may have to use the other keybinds available to select the right engine, then press CTRL+I to get the throttle from CUTOFF > IDLE.
@@__Dusty_Great video Dusty btw. I found if you map the CUTOFF RELEASE - Right/Left Engine to a momentary toggle switch e.g. (ENG OPER IGN L/R - FWD), it will work fine which is what I did on my TM Warthog throttle but it would be ideal if we could map them to the actual IDLE detent switches fitted to the dual throttles. Perhaps the fix will enable that, here's hoping.
@@kavelenko6501 Yeah it's definitely screwy in the current release. I know there are some fixes being tested right now. You could join the F-15 open beta test team to try it out if you like? PM me through discord via the Falcon Lounge if you can.
The avionics are turned on individually. So for the MPCD there’s a knob on the lower right of the screen, the VSD it’s the lower knob and the hud has a brightness knob that you turn up. Otherwise there’s no avionics master switch.
i have this game and i even have keybinds set up for the eagle but i cant find where i can play the f15c for the life of me, how do you get to it? do you need a certain theatre?
There are F-15 squadrons in the default Campaigns. All you need to do is search the 'Order of Battle' and find one, then press the 'join' button. And you can then fly the campaign missions in an F-15.
