Very cool! We got the first F-15EX delivered to the Portland Air National Guard base just recently and it's pretty badass. I am definitely looking forward to checking this out.
As if we don't have to worry about F-15E issue... this relieves my pain so much, thank you Spino, you just made me wanna switch from WT to DCS yet again, and can't wait to have my own HOTAS!
looks amazing! will definitely get this ASAP, my ANG received it recently and I hope to fly for them someday. I thought the cockpit had a color panel but I may be mistaken, either way, this is incredible and I will watch this development eagerly, godspeed Spino.
Makes since that an AAM the same physical size of the AIM-120 would have less fins and drag to have more range, nice AIM-260 model, looking forward to the LRAAM.
Looks really cool. The size of the HUD looks about the same as the F-15C FC3, or am I mistaken? Pics I've seen of the EX cockpit show a larger HUD which looks fantastic. That might be impossible to replicate in an FC3 mod, eh? Your HUD looks like it has better anti-glare shading than the F-15C FC3. Am I imagining that? Anyway, the larger radar and RWR are a big plus. Is the radar function basically the same as the F-15C FC3? Or does it offer any improvements? Are there any air-to-ground capabilities?
There are already mods to put modern missiles on the F-14... People always see someone working on a mod and think "cool, but give me this!!" Not considering the time and effort it takes. Instead of be grateful that someone is giving you something for free, you just ask for more more more... If you want something, learn how to make it or pay someone to make it for you. There is also the issue of ED's TOS regarding source files. FC3 is a gray area and what most people do doesn't involve the actual source files. To change a full fidelity module like the F-14 and mess with the cockpit is a big no-no. The Super Hornet mod is limited in what they are able to do because of that reason, they can only change the 3D model and textures. You'd also need to get permission from Heatblur, even if ED was okay with it.
I'll let Heatblur do an F-14D if they ever can get the necessary information declassified for it. I'd like to do a Super Tomcat 21 mod at some point, but I'm going to get the F-15EX finished before I seriously consider any other major mod projects. If one day I were to do an ST-21 mod it probably wouldn't be based on the F-14A/B module, it would have to be either FC3 or standalone (and most of us know what a headache the latter would be and how long it would take).
Definitely not lol. There is way too much that goes into the 15E(really any full fidelity module) and even two people couldn't handle it, let alone just Spino himself. Razbam had a person dedicated to each function of the module. It would take at minimum 6-8 people just to keep it going and make any sort of progress. Making mods for FC3 isn't exactly easy, but it is a hell of a lot easier than making a full fidelity aircraft.
You're absolutely right, it would be a nightmare trying to do the F-15E. With the EX I have some room for creative license anyway since we don't know a whole lot about it other than general specifications and some cockpit displays. I'm doing my best to re-create it using known data, with a little bit of what-if since it's a very new aircraft and may get things like AMBER and LREW down the line.
There are already mods for that sort of thing. I've carried Phoenix, Aim-120D, Aim-200, Meteor, ASRAAM, and many more on the F-15C/EX and Golden Eagle. You can also put Aim-120 on the F-14 lol
@@RedTail1-1 i know. Im just able to use the Meteor on the Golden Eagle. I wish i could use on the normal f15c that i have the "Clickable cockpit mod". But my question was specific on the EX will it be able to use Meteor?
A swerving head along with a constant circling cursor really brings people into your video. Not. A dizzying and annoying way to make a video. Nice work on the mod, but delivery is recipe for motion sickness.
