Johnny loves this song and was the one who asked Chase to sing it! It has always been a favorite of mine! Great job, Chase!!! Beautiful!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
🎉🎉🎉 I love the irresistible energy Chase brings to this song. Might be a little loud, a little fast, a little too powerful a rendition for some, but to me its assertiveness takes a great song and makes it 21st century better...
Well done Johnny ! As soon as I saw the title I thought "Oh NO !" why cover this. Now I know why Chase covered it. She reveals what a great song it is. Fabulous performance.
In 1967 father was going back to school to become a high school teacher. My dad and I went to see the film together then. As a 12 year old boy I took photos at his college graduation. Dad is 90 years old next week. This song brings so many great memories. Thank you.
I knew that in order to handle this song, the lead singer would need to offer up serious power. Chase brought every ounce of needed energy and then some! I love all the F&F performances, but this was over the top excellent! Thanks so much!
I have been a F&F fan for many years. I am amazed by their ability to blend voices as a group, but every one of them stands proud as individual singers as well. So much talent from the music, the arrangement and the blending of personalities into an exquisite musical experience.
This band is awesome. This sounded so close to the orig song it was amazing. Fantastic voice and ear for music. Very impressive Chase. F&F is by far the BEST cover band ever.
It's hard not to focus on Chase during this song, but the interaction and expressions of the band are really special. Ross is having too much fun, Sammi 's reaction to some of the vocals, Darwin and Chase during the instrumental parts and Toby hiding in the back and nailing the solo are just wonderful. Jeez, what a super performance!
This song stirs more memories than any other I know. Chase did a great job on the vocals, and of course, the band nailed it, as usual. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
One of the few vocalist I would put in the same category as Karen Carpenter. Incredibly smooth delivery on all the songs of heard her solo. Her lead vocals on "O Holy Night" are stunning.
As a retired high school teacher I can relate to this song. I won't compare it to Lulu's version, as it's not really all that different. I think Chase is a wonderful singer, and perhaps the most professional-sounding of the three women (I hope the other two aren't offended)--I'm speaking as the son of a soprano opera singer. Chase is obviously not a soprano but she does have a good range and expression, plus excellent pitch. I was also impressed by Toby's tasteful guitar break. He may not have that many leads anymore but he was certainly a fine lead guitarist in the group's live concert heydays. All in all, a fine version.
For anyone who has not watched the movie, please watch it! This performance will take on a new meaning. Thank you F&F for covering this song. One of my all time favorites!!''❤❤
Her voice is smoky, sultry and sophisticated all rolled into one. If Chase is at the microphone I'm listening (usually a bunch of times) Thanks for posting this, it deserves a million + views its that good.
I just learned about F&F today and was impressed enough that I started listening to the catalog. So much good stuff! But then I got to this and … holy cow!!!! The maturity of Chase’s voice is astounding and truly belies her age. I love Lulu’s original, but tbh, I think this version is better.
Of the three, Chase is the most expressive with her eye and facial movements, arm gestures, and body language. It's all over this song. It's one thing to listen to her sing, quite another to watch her sing.
Agreed. She absolutely commands the stage, singing so expressively and powerfully with such clear, precise articulation. She has been a vocal beast from the first time she was on stage with the group.
I was in the front row to watch this, and I only have to say this about it: It was riveting! Just watching this again over a year later, it still gives me tingles.
Totally agree, if you pay attention to Sammie whilst Chase is singing Sammie was really getting into it..Chase is more than just talented, that rendition was near perfection.. My only criticism is, I can’t get it out of my head, it’s on repeat 👍👍😂😂
I'm very familiar with FNF. So, this is on in the background (on autoplay) as I read an article. I notice some long-haired singer in the small window figuring it's some recording from the 60s. I keep listening to this INCREDIBLE rich and deep female voice and decide to bring up the small window to find out who it is. Chase again. What a talent!
Been listening to F & F since Suite Judy Blue Eyes......I only had a few grey hairs on my head then,......now all grey..........I only listen to the best.....that is why I have been following since Suite Judy Blue Eyes..... Wish you could do a UK tour
They’ve never “toured”, in fact they’ve never played a show outside the greater Atlanta area. I had the pleasure of meeting both Tim and wife Terri, and Maggie’s mum and dad Ellen and Larry on separate occasions in the U.K. last year and they are fine people, as of course are the rest of the band. If they do ever perform live again I’ll be on the next flight to Atlanta ✈️
@@John_Hazeldene thank you for taking the time to reply John really appreciate it They must be proud to have produced such talented children, and no doubt in a modest fashion The fan base is international and deservedly, so You can see the confidence grow through the years Unfortunately, a trip across to USA is a bit far for me, so will just continue to enjoy the incredible talent on videos Thank you again, John
Beautiful Chase singing it out with her singular, beautiful voice. Voice? Sign up for The Voice, Chase! You’d blow them away as you’ve done with us!! Beautiful!!
I will date myself now. When Lulu released this in 1967 it started to grow on me. Then the movie with Sidney Poitier. This is actually the first cover I have heard of it in over 50 years. Great Job to Lulu 2.0. 😁
Now THAT was a commanding performance. Wow! Long time F&F fan, but guilty of not checking in recently. Chase had the goose bumps running up and down both arms with that selection! I dont know if it's just me or what, but her vocals seem to have matured like a fine wine.
The late Scott King and Chase often talked about covering Dusty Springfield. The two, along with the rest of F&F, already recorded TSWL years ago when she was new with the group. The recording (minus one verse included here) is on their "Live" CD from 2016.
"Love Is The Answer" was my favorite song by Chase. I was so impressed with the power in her lower register but now I've heard the full range of that power. Wow - and great band with amazing backup vocals.
I remember when this was popular when I was soo young. The movie was nice as well. Lulu was in it who was the performer of the song originally :) That was for anybody who didn't know that already:D
Maravilhosa interpretação dessa Banda sensacional!! Muito bom os arranjos. Depois da Interpretação da Lulu, esta foi a melhor que ouvi. Adoro essa música!
