@The Batman Well even if Toybiz was still around it wouldn't be that cheap anymore; market changes, inflation, etc.. but I do agree with your sentiment. Toybiz really gave it's consumers maximum value, and hell even if they were still around at the price point of $25 to $35 at least you'd be getting all those accessories, and stands, and comics in a sturdy thick packaging display. 🤔 Hmm I wonder what would have to happen to bring back Toybiz, like realistically?

Their lord of the rings figures were awesome from 2002. Also would like to point the difference in plastic, toybiz figures just feel different, built different and just more sturdy, hasbro figures feel so cheap and flimsy.
The fact that they couldn't even pay for the Dodge license and still charge $350 for it. It feels like Hasbro already have the stretch goals prepared and added the cost of those to initial price instead of having the stretch goals as fun extras
I never thought I'd see the day where I found this amount of cussing, vulgarity, and raving in a review of sorts to be this refreshing, and even perhaps poetic (also hilarious), but phuckin A man, here I am! Mostly spot on assessment! I do however find the car and accessories to be pretty dope and wouldn't mind having them, but there's just no justification on that price tag. The thing that really "grinds my gears" is how people, namely action figure influencers, are saying, "let's just see what all the unlocks are before we pass judgement or not back it" Those "tiers" are just supposed to be bonuses, not factor into the actual price amount. Most people didn't have to see the tiers for the Sentinel and Galactus (myself included) to know it was worth the bread 💵 There's no damn way this and even the Mephisto reveal is even close to the Sentinel by itself at the same price point regardless of the inflation everyone keeps using as an excuse (whole other weak-ish argument) Anyway, my two cents, thanks for keeping it real as a reviewer homie. 👍
In a world with the worst inflation we've experienced, and with Marvel Selects/McFarlane stuff being available everywhere, I'm shocked that parents & collectors alike even think about Hasbro garbage. Yeah, there are gonna be some cool retail toys out there like Blob and Beast, and the Power Rangers line had Goldar and Lord Zedd... But for the most part it really is overpriced retail toy garbage being sold to us for premium import prices. I hope people who wanted a Ghost Rider display found themselves a Death Metal Batcycle for 20 bucks instead, and realized how infinitely better that bony bat ride is in basically every way.

Went from being on the fence to coming to my senses and saying hell no. Don't care if they throw 3 or 4 more figures out. They just revealed Mephisto for the first tier because they were worried about the momentum of it not funding that early bird head swap. I can afford it and have funded other projects but the value isn't there for this. Thanks for never changing bro, your the best!

I’m a big fan of NECA, but they’ve been letting me down lately. They’re raising prices too, but at least not the Hasbro extent. What’s killing me are the delays. Of all the companies I collect, I think they’re doing the worst with keeping up on releases. Still a fan, of course.

None of his vehicles rarely have accessories AND it would’ve been too small and the figure wouldn’t quite fit right without and it would’ve been an exclusive making it impossible to get. Damn! I didn't know _any_ company made 6" scale diecast cars. I gotta check that shit out. The biggest ones I know about are the 1/18 scale ones for your 3 3/4" figs. Sucks those "1:12" bikes you can get for cheap at Target aren't actually 1/12 scale.

I think they are charging like $150 for the car (and like $50 for GR and flame effects)... They just so happen to be charging everything that's not included at the base level as well. They're just hoping this project gets funded with no tiers unlocked so that any sucker that pays will be paying for figures that aren't included, which increases the profit Hasbro makes. Thats probably why the first tier is Mephisto, which will probably their "best" figure out of the other tiers because they want to at least hit 9k. Those other tiers they're charging for will probably be characters most will not care about. So Hasbro wants this to be funded with backers between 9k - 11,999. To maximize their profit from each backer.
At this point, I wish Hasbro would lose the Marvel license and give it to either McFarlane Toys or NECA. Despite their own flaws, they're both beating the shit out of Ass-Bro.

I was expecting a actually good looking 1969 dodge charger rt not a playmates looking car like I think the only way I can justify the price is if Hasbro included a old West ghost rider and a johnny cage or blaze because there are people paying so much for the ghost rider, hell there are people paying $55 for the toybiz version and that figure use to be $10 to $15 when it first came out

All ill say is, ive been collecting everything and reading comics for ..idk..was born in 80..so a while..not since then of course but kinda, im 42 and actively collecting so much for 30 yrs.. recently it has lost its nestalgia cause its all a cash grab anymore . And well its gonna ruin the game . Or should i say the fun.. doesnt have to .. but major companies have forgot why they are where they are.. its about the love for the art of it all. Writing and drawings and action figures and video games and so on... its a love and a connection to the characters and their history.. thats the worth. Not the price tag

But it gets better because that $3.15 million is put into accounts that have interest rates compounded daily. So 1 Nov 2023 when the product is offered, the consumers would have given Hasbro upwards of $20 million dollars plus for this one. For a product I swear not even 10% of the Haslab community would admit was on their wish list for 2022.

That noise at the end was very annoying, but other than that, it was a great show. I agree with you about Haslab overpricing the Ghost Rider car. Hasbro in general has been overpricing things to take full advantage of adult collectors who love their toy brands. It feels like abuse. They know we like their brands, they want to see how much they can charge us and we will still pay them for their items, instead of just making quality items at prices that parents can afford for their children. Hasbro used to make toys for kids! Their prices used to reflect that when WE WERE KIDS! Now they want to price gouge everyone! I know some of the stuff they make is pretty cool, very tempting, but deep down, everyone knows they are overcharging us.. most of us just WANT the item that badly, we justify it. But they really are testing their fans to see what they can and cannot get away with. They aren't about the fans, they are about maximum profit for as little work as possible.
