When he said "take a look underneath" and the camera pans to an underbelly that looks like every truck I've owned or seen, I realize how lucky I am to live in the south lol
That parts truck is pretty rare. crew cab bullnoses are hard to come across. Especially one with a Big block out of a Lincoln! Looks like they got a crew cab bumpside too.
Love those old broncos my buddy owned one in mint condition he use to own a autobody shop. He owned a pile of old classics but the bronco was a real special one as far as I'm concerned.
As a fellow ontario bronco owner, I'd recommend swapping your tie rod to ontop, just need to ream it out or you ream it and install a sleeve so it's not hour glass. Easier on steering parts and handle way better. Your radius arms are a weak point since you went with drop brackets over extended radius arms. I would recommend plating them, they fold in half easy.
@@phantomwalker8251 completely disagree. I ran TTB for 12yrs, with 35s, locked, 16" of wheel travel in the front. Jumped it and drove it down the highway. When you understand it is fun. I now have d60 and ORI's on 40s, its tougher but it was way more fun with TTB.
@@phantomwalker8251 second, the TTB is a d44. If your going to go through all that to solid axle atleast put a d60 in. But anyone that says it's junk just doesn't understand how it work, couldn't figure out how to get it to work.
When ever I’ve had to deal with Ford frame rivets, I’ve used an angle grinder to remove the head til it was flush. Then I’d use a drill with about an 1/8" drill bit to drill hole deep enough to clear the thickness of the frame. Then a punch and hammer. Out usually in one wack. The 1/8" hole relieves the tension of the rivet.
@7:58 Time for a wasp delete there boys! Derek easing into the cooler all nonchalantly ..... grabbing some cold snacks and baiting Rich with the Peak variety was HI Larious.
Wondering why you went with lifting that twin Ibeam instead of swapping over to a solid axle? I'm guessing it has to do with schedule. I was hoping you'd do a solid axle swap if you're doing an off road vehicle, or maybe a modern coil over independent setup.
l/c,s are not simple.. by any stretch.. your rear diff, front diff,e brake, to fix,is a horror story.. that ttb, is a disaster ford never should of done. easiest fix, is a 1979 d44. front diff. CANT BEAT DANA SPICER. O.K... thats ttb,was fords idea,,not dana.,. my bronco has d60 disc rear, lsd, d44 8 stud locker front, zf 5sp,1356 transfer. &, kills toyotas..cost so far after 14 yrs, inc buy price of 3.5k, around 7k. 2.5k on w/tires. 16 x 10 with 35" d/cepec. no l/c runs 35,s std.. fords do. no mods..
As far as I understand, being a US citizen, the "beer" available in gas stations and convenience stores is typically "beer" only in the most technical sense of the word. It has some sort of water mixed with some sort of grain/hops and is brewed for some unspecified period using dubious methods, at best. I'm guessing that's why we tolerate it, because we'd never buy it. If the ABV isn't listed or there's no bitterness index or award citation, stay away. Just sayin'
I'm a big fan of "good beer", but at the end of the day beer is beer. I'll drink a cheap mass produced gas station beer just as happily. No need in beer snobbery.
@@Private0Malley I admit to being a beer snob. It's a fairly recent development as I lived most of my life happily drinking most any beer available. Then I started a relationship with a woman who teased me about my beer choices, or lack thereof. I told her the beer I drank had little difference than the expensive stuff she continually suggested. She bet me she could change my mind with a single experiment. We'd pour two beers, one of mine and one of hers, and let them warm to room temp (75 F at my house). I would then do a smell and taste test and if I still thought there was little difference she'd never mention it again. As you've guessed, I've not bought mass produced beer since. I don't remember the IPA she chose for the test but my choice was that venerable king of beers. Turns out if it's not cold...well, let's just say that compared to the premium beer, the bud smelled and tasted like it came from a gas station...bathroom. Now, I'd still choose it over water, as long as it was nice and cold. Cheers!
Oh, and yes, if she'd have just left me alone I would still be happily enjoying mass produced beer. I'd be able to drink more of them before having to stop (now my limit is two pints due to high ABV), which is nice on days where the temp rises above 100 F, which is most of the summer months here. I'd also spend a LOT less money. That's the bitch of snobbery - sure the beer is higher quality, but only to those who believe it is. Everyone else is blissfully oblivious and happy with whatever they have or personally choose to enjoy. The issue is when us snobs feel we need to educate others. Then we just sound like, well, snobs. Sorta like I did here.
After dealing the removal of a lift kit, and a crossmember swap from hell on a 95 f150 - kinda' surreal to see someone install a lift. I removed my lift for a reason, the same reason why I had to swap a crossmember (still have what's left of it too)... Solid front axle is recommended if that Bronco is going to be anything more than a pavement princess.
@@RayleighCriterion I've owned Ford, GM, and Dodge vehicles. I'm not necessarily partial to any particular brand. I will tell you this the only ones to have NEVER come home on a wrecker or leave me stranded were the Ford products I've owned. And believe me when I say the Fords were by far not the newest nor were they in the best condition of the vehicles I've owed.
Awesome. I have a 96 Bronco daily driver and I love it. I've been wanting to do the same modifications to mine. Mine is stock towing package lift with 32 x 11.50 Kenda klever m/t and they are too loud. Stock 15" wheels.
Yeah, you should see the IDI in that same body or a 300I6. I think the ones w the 300I6 you could stand up in the engine bay & work on it. I see Bullnose IDIs sometimes in Facebook, but I’d love to get a bullnose, but I’m rocking my 93 idi for now.
Kinda makes me wonder why they'd go to all that trouble re-honing, rebuilding and throwing all that money and time into a 302? Why not just grab a re-manned 351w shortblock for $1000(they're available on eBay for just under $1000 right now) or find one in a junkyard, preferably a roller block, swap at least some GT40/GT40P heads or a cheap Speedmaster aluminum top end(heads, roller rockers, intake manifold) that goes for under $1,000 dollars ($927-$981 depends if 190cc or 210cc, roller or flat tappet, single or dual plane intake)on there, a 600cfm vacuum secondary or 750cfm double pumper on there, a decent sized cam, lifters, pushrods,, a set of long tubes, some Magnaflow cats (or fakes, if any), an aftermarket distributor and ignition box. Then the rest of what they did(clutch, ect) and send her the right way. I would almost rather have a 300 I6 than a 302 in a truck application because of the way the tq curve is. A salvaged ZF-5 S42 or S47, an NP205 and a solid front axle swap would be cherry too. Maybe a Dana 50/60 front and Stirling 10.25/10.5 or Dana 80 from a wrecked OBS F250HD, F350 or Super Duty with 3.55/3.73/4.10/4.30 gears would be outstanding. Great clean truck to start the adventure with for sure. A cut and buff on the paint and a thorough detailing inside would make that truck MINT!!!
Did you Know ther was an Irish automotive RU-vid channel called "Juiceboxforyou " ther absolutely hilarious and brilliant documentary on ther visit to Japan 🇯🇵 great bunch of lads too 👍 restoring a ae86 (twin Cam) is the back bone of the channel 😀💯🤙🍀☘🇮🇪💚💙💚💙💚💙
They started fuel injection in '86 and it was a disaster. Lol! Then they went to bank fire injection and that worked great. I'm a Millennial and have driven a manual transmission since I was 16. An E30 BMW, Black Taco and two R56 Mini Coopers. I am also the most experience driver in the '49 F-1 we have as well. I am 35 now and will never give up my standard transmission. I love big body Broncos. I have had 2 '90 models (both 5.8L). If buying beer at the gas station is blowing your mind then you would be amazed to see the paper bags they have here in Texas for your cold snacks. Or in Wisconsin where you can buy beer, wine and liquor at the gas station and on Sunday as well, Lol!
The TTB suspension is chronically out of alignment. For an IFS system, it's really pretty rugged but they could never really keep them tracking true for very long, especially if you go off the pavement. Just solid axle swap her. She'll love you for it. and Rotella T4 isn't just good for lawnmowers and beater ass old trucks. It meets JASO MA/MA2 spec which means its OK for motorcycles with wet clutches. I used to run it in my Suzuki V-Strom 650 and ran her all over the SW USA. Death Valley in the summer, Mt Charleston in the winter. No fucks given. A really good quality oil for a really good price. Go look and see what an equivalent amount of Motul would run you. You'll never go back.
I got the procomp 69s (technically an american eagle wheel rep, but they're no longer made) in matte black 15x10 with BFG KMs (35x12.5) from 2003 on my junk ass 2nd gen dodge budget 4 wheeler project with 5" skyjacker lift. It looks great out on the trail even though its folding in half lmao
I absolutely have to know what this one is called! Have you found it Alex? I’m literally playing all of the deboss soundcloud playlist looking for it! 👍🏻
Slider window topper is cool. First year of 302 with EFI was 85. Instead of fooling with that TTB garbage, superduty axle swap the F-350, and use the F350 axles on the Bronco.
Meanwhile, those of us not already sold on the Bronco are admiring that somewhat rare 2-door 90-95 4Runner parked right behind it. Whoever that seller is, I'd enjoy a gander at his entire collection.
I never had a bronco but I had the Dodge "equivalent" which was the Dodge RamCharger. My very first automabeel. It was a 1983 which meant it was quite literally as old as I am. Loved that truck. I got a question for you though, how come you called the project "Juicebox" ? Is it because of how much fuel it sucks up ? hahahaha cuz I used to get around 8 miles a gallon so I know the struggle.
Got a 69 Corvette. Has original and very worn 350. Rotella T6 for me. Probably T4 would be fine, but I only put a couple thousand miles a year and change oil once. Little more expensive but T6 should be fine?
Thanks for buying moog. American made is the way to go. US or Canadian is the the best typically. Atleast it should be. I worked in a moog factory for a month in my home town 1.5 hours north of KCMO up 71 hwy and assembled tie rod ends to get a little cash to head to college in the late 90s. They were VERY VERY VERY picky about quality. I probably had to do a lot atlest and sheer test every hour to make sure the medal had no defects in the forging process done on site. I know first hand they make quality. Factory work wasn't my thing, nor was it easy but I'm one to try everything to obtain more knowledge everyday. You needed to be a Beast to do that work. Love your channel. Keep up the good content and keep buying north American were you can as long as quality stays #1. Sadly Taiwan makes some pretty decent stuff too for now but run from than Chinese and India stuff. Cheap crap as a rule because their labor staff is either given scraps a day or mostly slave and child labor. That brea1ks my heart.💔 keep doing what you do. Been watching a long time, apparently You Tube in subscribed me so I missed a few. My apologies. You deserve the viewer and likes paycheck that they keep screwing with! Love God and love others, and when you have time after that, love anything mechanical or electronic. That's my philosophy anyway!
Just say it OREYYGUNNN. We're all used to it by now. The real funny stuff is hearing people try to pronounce "Willamette". Idk why that's so hard for people hahaha
It's a bronco..... Just like the ram charger and the blazer they all took a lesson from the bible with the Israelites.... They're all wondering Jews...
11:35 I'm surprised that Willys doesnt even get an honorable mention. I also want to say that my current daily is an '86 Ford F150 2wd automatic with OD. Ford's first EFI V8 I think. Same engine in the 5.0 'stangs. She runs and is mechanically reliable. AC still blows cold air but the passenger window wont crank up haven't even tore the door panel off to see what its major malfunction is. God I love an miss old wing windows. Its taking much to say that because Im totally a GM guy but I will give credit where its deserved and this truck is decently reliable. Its tired and has over 200k. Or its been abused severely for having jist over 100k. I couldn't beat the price which was free plus the fellow who gave it too me gave me $250 to clean up all of the scrap (all metal) in his yard that would fit in the bed. As I was leaving the former owner asked if I could also take six five gallon buckets that 5 were filled with old red brass valves and 1 with half inch in copper pipe 90's. I told the owner that he could take the buckets to a scrap yard and it would pay for the 250 he paid me to take the truck. He tried giving me another 50 bucks (which I refused) to just take it and said he wasnt worried about the cash and he just was so happy the mess was cleaned up. Altogether I hauled nearly 500 dollars in scrap away in the truck the I was paid 250 bucks to take. I did take $250 back to the previous owner who refused to take it.1 week later I shoved 200 bucks in the ashtray of his wife's car. This man was not wealthy financially and I felt guilty for profiting off of a man who could use the money. What a good man he is. I mention him in my prayers daily. Always awesome content Deboss!
They have great taste in bronco's the 3rd generation bronco is my favorite body style i actually have 3 of the 3rd generation bronco's i have a 1983 with a 351w v8 and c6 trans, 1984 xlt with 302w v8 and a c6 trans, and a 1986 300 straight 6 with granny 4 speed manual trans
Loved this video - I inherited an 84' 302 last year and I only DREAM of being able to put in a roll cage like that some day. I guess I should probably get it running first though!
I have F.O.R.D.ed across the east coast in my Bullnose F150. It's pretty much unkillable. I even have the same goofy tach clamped to the steering column and it's almost the same color.
Started watching after Derrick mentioned you. I would love for you to look at my highschool car 68 s code mustang coupe. Haven't touched it in 30 years life and family took priority. I'm giving it to my son who just graduated university. Needs everything but I only live an hour and a half from you so thought it would make a good RU-vid video.
I’ve got a 89 ford bronco though of selling it don’t know how much to ask any ideas? Its my daily it already went through it’s mileage cycle and right know it reading 3,650.
That cross bean system has got to be the SHITTIEST of all front end arrangements that FORD has ever created in their all seeing wisdom. Specially those god forsaken king pings.
