@Scott Memelord , I could see something like that. They are claiming to be God. There's three attributes just like God does (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), yet they lie twice. Remember, God does not lie nor contradict Himself, and if He or an angel of His appears to you, then you'll hear "Do not be afraid." Anyways, there are two points where they lie. 1.) "To tell you the truth, there are no universal forces." Deathborn was the Grand Prix Champion of the Underworld, so he must've been one. Also, the "Creator" (in the game) must also be one since He/They are after Falcon's soul. 2.) "And we'll take out your soul from your body and turn it into our creation." If Captain Falcon's soul wasn't their creation, then they aren't the Creator of everything. Captain Falcon thought the whole thing through and came to the following conclusion: "He/They must be lying, so I'll race them to find out the truth." Therefore, winning the race exposes them for being heretics/liars/blasphemers, while losing the race... I can't tell for sure.
@@RickMattison314 wait wait wait, sure it says multiple times that God doesn't lie or contradict himself, but thats not true. God witholds information from people (aka lying) all the time, and there's tons and tons of contradictions throughout nearly every religious text ever written.
One has to wonder if Captain Falcon is even listening to anything that anyone says to him. The literal gods of his universe threaten to destroy his body and enslave his soul and his solution is to just drive faster than them. You could tell him to his face that his wife has divorced him, his start-up has filed for bankruptcy, he's in the terminal stages of prostate cancer and the heat-death of the universe is imminent and he'd still be like: 12:19 and then drive off in the opposite direction.
I guess this game was the perfect example for any game designer on how to make a story based racing game: -Fast Pace story telling to avoid long pauses in the action -Always changing setpieces -Multiple, different objectives (keep the speed up, knock out all enemies, escape) sharing the content of the campaign with some obligatory races -An awesome soundtrack
Yup. Everything about Story Mode is very well thought out and executed perfectly. The dialogue is as short and simple and fun as it needs to be. The stages themselves are really very serious training levels to teach the player about how seriously they should take the mechanics if they want to be truly good at the game. The conclusion of the story is even a meta element where your goal at the end of the day is to defeat the staff ghosts if you want to conquer the game.
I'm hoping this year there's something announced, would be great on the switch and maybe we can even dream they add another F-Zero character into smash or even just an echo fighter of blood falcon
The cutscenes were goofy as hell, but there was some great worldbuilding in place as well. I really wish we could explore the F-Zero universe more. Some of these cutscenes would lend themselves well as transitions for missions where Falcon has to beat people up, like the bounty hunter that he is. Considering that Amusement Vision more or less became the same team that makes the Yakuza games, perhaps a game in the vein of Yakuza would really do the series world and characters justice, but the odds of that happening are slim to none. I also like the inconsistency of the vehicle sizes, especially in the chapter 3 cinematic. At the beginning it appears to be massive, about the size of a small plane, but when he parks it seems to be closer to the size of a normal car. Look at the size of Black Bull in chapter 7, it's about 3 times Falcon's height.
If the anime is anything to go by, the potential for story telling in the F-zero universe is definitely there, with its big cast of colorful and unique characters. A beatem up style in a scifi world would be great. I can also see it also working as a racing hybrid, do missions to rack up space credits until you have enough to pay for races.
I think someone did, but unfortunately there isn't any known case of the music in a standalone form, thus making them not the best quality (then again, the same person also ripped the anime music and they're the same story lol)
Well, we recently got source files leaked from Nintendo itself with the original uncompressed sounds for various F-Zero X stuff like the announcer voice lines and even the source code itself. Maybe one day something from GX will show up. We can all hope.
I have the honor of allowing myself to say that I managed to finish this campaign more difficult and tougher than hell itself, the most difficult I have played ... Only those who played it know what it is to sweat blood with this game.
@@saucelette2023 Well, I also am not sure, since I also thought at one moment that it's psychically not possible, but at the same time they could've rented mocap studio perhaps
I'm glad Dark Schneider isn't giving me a foot massage. But on a serious note I want f zero gx ported to Nintendo switch. The ruby cup was a blast even though I could only unlock 30 characters.
Did they ever release the music used in these cutscenes? Especially the tracks used when falcon is walking down the street to his hideout, or when hes just about to start the betting race
I'd say his appearance in the SNES F-Zero game's comic found in the instructions should be his alternate costume if they decide to add one for him lol but the Famicom (goofy one in that cutscene) would make for a funny joke costume lol
Big_Wes There are other ideas for Captain Falcon if they put in ones from the anime too. It would be cool if they put a Bart Lemming or a Federation Force Outfit for him.
@@BigWesProductions Maybe the Nintendo characters who got american comic book artist to give them some alt looks should have their costume designs in smash as alts for those they worked on. I remember their being one of Samus but it was a valentine's day card.
Dam this game is cool. It's awesome because it tells a story in a sarcastically serious way that makes it fun and funny. Music and animation on point too. I remember being young and wishing I could see all the cutscenes but I was never good enough to beat the game.
Creators: "Falcon please go to rehab you're breaking your family's hearts" Captain Falcon: "Come off it! You think you can beat me? No way!" *somersaults onto kiddie ride and starts making whooshing noises*
I loved these cutscenes as a child, but good god the sound effects were managed so strangely, especially in the Red Canyon part where they're just sliding down and then Black Shadow attacks Captain Falcon before the speed bomb. Also, that victory music with the organ at the end of the last cinematic was just hilarious
I gotta find a way to get in touch with the guy who made the music in these cutscenes, they're really that good (or it could be because I've never heard them fully before lol).
Chapter 3 bgm cutscenes is sick, but i hear from other videos that it sounds like it was copying from a song called release the pressure by leftism ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z15lJR79pTg.htmlm21s I think the composer probably know this, it'd be a problem if everyone recognizes
THAAAAAAANK HEAVEN, HE'S ON THE RIIIGHT SIIIIIIIIIDE OOOORRRRR ELSE THERE'D BEEEEEEE NOOOOOWHEEEEERE TO HIIIIIIIIIIDE!!!!!!!! CAAAAAAAPTAAAAIN FAAALCOOON WILL AAAAAALWAAAYS BE FOOOOOUND HOT ONNN THE TRAAAAAIL TRACKIIIING ROUGES DOOOWWWWWN!!!!!!!!!! I love it. And I hate it. All at the same time. ROFL
This has bothered me for years and I doubt anyone will ever read this but, I feel this is the best video to comment this. Can we all just acknowledge in Chapter 7 at the beginning we see a complete starting grid. Also at first Captain Falcon and Black Shadow both appear to be right beside each other in the first two spots of the second row of machines. As such at, 9:40 we can see the Little Wyvern in the starting grid, Falcon and Shadow are each in their 7th and 8th starting spots. As soon as it cuts to 9:45 with Falcon and Shadow we see most, if not all the machines missing from the front of the grid. But as if by magic at 9:48 we see a full starting grid once again. Including Wild Boar, Blood Hawk, Little Wyvern and Mighty Hurricane. Come 10:04 right at the “Start your engines”, we can see that the Blue Falcon and the Black Bull are nowhere to be seen and their places have been taken by King Meteor and Mad Wolf. Then somehow Falcon and Shadow managed to make their way all the way to the back of the starting grid right next to Hyper Speeder. It’s a great game but this cut scene just always bugged me and made me feel like some of the animators didn’t care on the DL. But come on guys F-Zero GX remastered?? Or a new F-Zero. Honestly GX remaster with some new tracks, custom machine parts, and online play and you’d have a sale from me Nintendo! Or who ever takes up the challenge.
Next time Nintendo asks what they could possibly do for a new F-Zero game I'm gonna show them these cutscenes. Good for the time it was released but boy does this need an overhaul.
I think the 9th chapter should have been the secret true ending of the story mode... Given the fact that there were no hints that the Creator was present in the belt.
