A short video to help those who may not understand F-Zero X too well. It's not very in depth, but features things I learned in my very long experience with this game. And seeing as it's coming to Nintendo Switch Online, I encourage viewers to share this. And also to refer to much more in depth guides on F-Zero X.

This was the main thing I got excited for when they announced the n64 games for the switch. I wasn't the best at Fzero but I love it so much. Who knows...maybe this could open doors for the franchise

One thing you forgot, there is a boost start that is invisible. If you press acceleration at the same moment as "GO" is said, you start the race with MAX SEED. Important: Before the race starts, the machine must not be off the track.

Remember that F-Zero X, which is to be on Nintendo Switch Online, isn't released yet. This is to help you prepare in advance!

One thing to mention is that different races have different AI, Billy is the most notable example as he will spin attack more than others for no particular reason

It's any time he goes even slightly airborne. Other weird AIs include Mrs Arrow, Draq, and Tanaka, who, if they're not attacking anybody, will always gravitate towards Super Arrow, Roger Buster, and Kate Alen starting on the second lap. You'd think Tanaka would gravitate towards Jody, but no.

The thing that I don’t like about NSO’s expansion pack is that you’re forced to pay for the Animal Crossing DLC even if you don’t have the game itself. In my honest opinion, $30 extra is too much for me right now, even for a game as magnificent as F-Zero X. Every game Nintendo adds to the expansion is only going to increase the value, though, and I wouldn’t hesitate to take the dive if it came with the F-Zero X Expansion Kit. Otherwise I don’t see any reason to stop playing the Wii VC version of the game that I already have on Wii U.

Very well said. When you consider F-Zero X's case, the base game alone is just way too old to sell like that. Expansion Kit is way more valuable since it's the complete version of X.

@@custom-r I just hope they bring the expansion version to switch online this or next month whenever they decide to release more n64 games in future for switch online

I wonder if it'll be like the VC version to where I cant time attack because of how they port the game + controller. I always have to go back to my N64 for this, but I hope that it does well. This also gives me a chance to introduce it to some friends. This is my best F-zero game by far, by knowledge and skill. Let's see when it actually comes out!

Hold Z, then tap R twice (and vice versa). Use it to attack or defend against a crowd of racers.

Im trying to beat the game on the n64 without cheats. Currently cannot beat the jack cup on expert, should i side attack turn everytime im turning slighty? And i feel like i move way more to the side i do it on than anyone in videos.

Even if you're turning slightly, you should side attack. However, try to side attack once or twice if you're dealing with wider turns. If there is a sharp or short turn, side attack a LOT. In cases like Silence 1 or Sand Ocean 1, there are long stretches of road where you only need to steer gently.
