the similarity with the soundtrack from the movie Rush (2013) is uncanny, which coincidentally released the same year of this game. I wonder if they added classic cars only to pander to people who watched the movie.
I don't think that's a coincidence. Also because there are barely other games around which featured period cars. Also also lol, if you logged into RaceNet, you unlocked Lauda's car from 1976, also the car from the movie. So the music, release, 1976 Ferrari & their marketing adding up would be VERY coincidental haha
I think it has more to do with Senna movie biopic rather than Rush, simply because the musical notes are very similar Anyway I don't know what got to be released first, F1 2013 or Rush, but the coincidence is astouding.
@@Michael_Shoemaker Rush came out about a month before F1 2013 but teased in April 2013. Considering development times, it’s more likely than not to be a coincidence but wouldn’t be surprised if Senna and Rush were deciding factors for adding them.
This sounds like it should be playing in the background of footage of Michael Schumacher destroying the competition in the rain at the 1996 Spanish Grand Prix.
This game was the same year as Rush and the music matches the movie and feels old school rock so that's why we loved it....we felt like we were in the movie despite the camera work and theatrics of the pre-race loading screen not overdoing it.....that's what made it great.
@@Nico_85 yeah I was looking to play this game, I have assetto Corsa and a shitload of mods but f1 2013 has something so unique that even if you have literally everything you'll still miss that game
This has got to be some of my favourite menu music ever. I agree they should incorporate the melody in the newer games.... instead of trying something a bit new every year. I think they hit their stride with this one... music wise and gameplay wise. Logged more hours on 2013 than any other F1 game by far

This has some 90s flair to it. That energetic, slightly rock & roll style, while containing the same rythim and overall "structure" as the modern theme. This gives both soundtracks a feeling of being two alternative versions of the same music
tbh some of the classic cars were 'just there'. how many of us actually remember the 1992 ferrari f92a or the 1988 williams fw12, which are included in the game?
