Now I’m no expert. But based on the throttle you see drivers put down in real life and comparing that to in game. Medium TC looks more realistic and definitely feels way better then no TC
Yep, me too. Probably because in a high down-force car you hit the brakes hard and release gentle while in a low down-force car (a city car) you hit the brakes gentle so it can get grip and press it further. On a motorcycle, even more where you can feel the bike digging into its front wheel while applying more pressure gently..
I think it could be a lot easier to play with no assists if you're using a wheel and pedals rather than a controller. It's certainly easier to feather the throttle and develop muscle memory with the brake pedal.
So yy question should you learn gears before traction control because dont they go hand in hand. Meaning you can retard the power to rear wheels by going up a gear to also reduce the chance of spinning the wheels
maybe if your jarno opmeer assist make you 0.1 lap slower but average joe TC and ABS are so overpowered. ABS doesnt slow you down anyway and TC only makes it quicker on literally the hardest parts of driving without TC which are accelerating after or during a corner.
Great suggestions but remember everyone, your pedal chose matters. I have the pedals that came with the DD Pro and they are impossible to use without PC calibration with assist off(yes I don’t own a PC).
I need to have the racing line on, solely for the breaking zones, I know every corner and every line out of corners. I don't even brake when it recommends to, I just drive so much slower without it. It's sad but true.
You helped me a lot , thanks ! Now I'm officially a PRO PLAYER because I use no assists , struggling a little with no ABS but , I will become familiar.
@@cars.byAlex what kind of pedals are you using? I’m just running a Logitech g920 and I find its extremely difficult running no abs. I’m interested in turning it off for good but maybe ill wait until I get better pedals
The only assist I’ve got on is automatic gears, I just can’t seem to get it down. I drive a manual in real life but can’t in F1 haha. I always end up focusing on the lights too much and completely missing my corner lol.
@@SimRacingSetups does that work for downshifting? My problem lies there I can upshift without issue, thanks for the reply, you’re videos have helped me a lot.
After driving the RSS hybrid 2022 in AC for several days, these cars are nearly undrivable. The slightest touch on the pedal in low gears creates snap overstear.
Yep game has got it so wrong with traction. Heard of top players of the game playing on medium traction because that closer to realistic. I have to qualify 1st against 90 AI just to be in the top 5 by the 1st corner 😂 race starts are so hard with no TC
Although I know that automatic gearbox makes you slower, I'm not sure whether my PS5 Controller would survive manual shifts. All the other assists aren't activated, only automatic gearbox.
I can drive like 25% race without tc and be fine but during a 50% I’m going to spin at least once. Any advice ? I try to practice in the wet and that helped
@@Powaup remember no driver is 100% on it during a race, try drive at a consistent pace rather than blitzing every lap. Other than that just practice. I'm at the same point, can get through most 25% races without spinning but always 1 hairy moment somewhere
Tyres are wearing down, track surface if changing with each lap, an you get more tired sith each lap. You really just have to practice so that your stamina becomes better and that s it really, also what someone said drive consistently rather than blitzing every lap cause that will also save you tyres a little, and you won t be thinking too much on improvibg the lap time
"driving with assist will make you faster." Yea sorry bud but I'm not faster if I'm spinning like a tornadoe every corner..medium traction control for me,everything else is off. I want no TC so bad! But if you compare real life onboards to how THIS game want you to use the pedal just isn't realistic. I mean name ONE CAR that's ever spun on a starting lap? Love all your content
To be fair. All F1 drivers are pretty darn good and been doing it for a little while now. Many of us on the other hand are part time racers who have only been pretend racing a little while. 😂 But thanks for the kind words!
Is it realistic to turn off all assists using a controller? I would imagine a steering wheel controller becomes much more beneficial when turning off assists... Thoughts?
It really is about learning to manage the brake travel. Go 100% pressure straight away and then almost immediately start to release the brake pedal slowly until it’s fully released
