F1 24 in VR. Preview build of the updated Spa track. Captured on Quest 3 at 90Hz 1.5x Render Resolution and VR Ultra graphics preset, no upscaling. System spec RTX4090 & AMD7800X3D. #F124 #simracing #VR
I think the developer feels the PS5 is underpowered. Just look at the GT7. To get GT7 to work on PSVR2 they run it at 60Hz re-projected to 120Hz with a blurry image as a result. I don't think the developer wants that. I have + 500 hr in GT7 on PSVR2 , so I like it, but I understand why we might not get any more racing games to it...
@@MightyMikeVRGT7 is a much more impressive game graphically speaking and GT7 is meant to look amazing in VR, using eye tracking in VR to only fully render what you’re looking it makes it possible
@@CJ-uh8bk Eye tracking is truly an amazing thing. But one thing I've noticed that isn't that great is all the texture pop in that happens when playing GT7 in VR (can only be see in headset). They used a lot of tricks to make it work on PS5 and all of them aren't positiv. I hope PS5 pro or whatever they will call it enable you to run the game in native 90 Hz with fewer texture pop in. If we gonna see that, then I also believe (hope) we gonna see more racing games to PSVR2.
@@MightyMikeVR the reason we haven’t seen the f1 games in PSVR 2 if anything is down to laziness, codemasters don’t do the VR, they outsource it to another company, they added pc be in f1 22, they haven’t touched it since and it still is basically unusable for 90% of players
Hopefully it's more optimised then the last 2, my pc specs exceed the required for VR on the steam page but my framerate is a little inconsistent and I get that horrible head movement stutter
@@droog77theone14 it’s actually outrageous that for 3 games in a row they advertise VR as a feature but for the vast majority of players it doesn’t work properly, so frustrating cause I’d love to do a career mode fully in VR
@@CJ-uh8bk true its realy poorly optimised it try d to tweek it put down the resolution to 80% with steam vr. set the graphic settings to ultralow max performance and the stutters are gone but it clearly dont look great but its enjoyebel. Antialising is non existent. Maybe if i try out to tweek the setting and some guides out its getting better hopfully.
Does it have the same head tracking delay bug that it had the last 2 years? People mistaked the jitter for bad performance when it was really the head tracking being out of sync. Just go into the garage and look at the ui menu. If it is shaking with slight head movements, the bug is still there. It was making people motion sick unless they kept their head dead still.
@@HamVR I think 22 and 23 were half-hearted bolt-ons from a third party called Climax studios. Presumably it's the same. Worst VR implementation in all of sim racing. A lot of the objects on the track aren't even rendered in 3D, aside from the nauseating head tracking delay. Hard pass again this year.
The jitter occurs when the GPU timing exceeds the normal operating range limit, for example 11ms at 90fps, if any timings exceed that limit, frame rate drops and jitter occurs. Better optimization that increases GPU usage and FPS to the headsets operating range and below GPU timing negates the jittering.
What is blurry to one person is really sharp to another LOL. When I tried F123 on the Reverb G2 I got it looking sharp. I've not tried F1 24 on the G2 yet but I would think it will look the same as F1 23.
Yeah, the cockpit looks great but everything else is terrible for me. I wouldn't mind the other way around tbh cause I'm not looking at the car most of the time. Can we get a feedback on this please ?
Greetings … I have tried preview and still very faint FFB (Logitech pro wheel) - seems to be a number of similar reports on the closed beta but not much response or hope of a fix ?
This preview build is a few weeks old apparently. The day 1 release build is expected to have more & better wheel support than this version I tried. This build has less track detail FFB compared to F1 23 so we will have to see what the final release brings 🤞
i had 3070 with ryzen 5600. Play using Virtual desktop wirelessly having good WiFi 6 router. Set up High res, enable upscaler, HEVC10, 150mb, and use low VR graphics settings in F1 23. i Had easly 80 fps with this settings. Leave steamVR setting as it is, only disable gpu bus monitoring. I always have stutters playing using cable. Go play wirelessly, u ll see the difference.
