Thank you for posting this. I just used it as reference to successfully install the windshield in my 67 F100. It took me a few hours, but worked perfectly. I did use plenty of silicone spray.

I am fighting with that right now. This video is very useful, Looks like I need a few things to get this done. 1. helper 2. a stand like that to hold the windshield until the seal is on. You get the seal on by yourself you have supper powers.

Stand helps alot. If you don't have help to get seal on use lots of tape to hold it in place. You will definitely need a helper to get glass and seal in place on truck unless your super human. Thanks for watching and please subscribe. It helps ne out alot.

I've done this before. It's not very difficult. Start from the bottom and before you get to the top, you gonna make sure the glass is all the way to the bottom or you'll crack it. You can see these guys pulling it down. I just put one hand inside and one outside and pushed it down as hard a I could til I was happy.

Great job I’m working on 72 now , driving 69 on 2008 every day. 72 getting long bed cut down found its lot of work. When finished one going to have to go . Not smart enough to get on RU-vid 😊

What can I use in place of silicon spray? Really soapy water? I have a brand new paint job on a 69 and I don't want to use silicone on it much less in the body shop.

I would use the really soapy water if the vehicle has a nice paint job on it. For rust buckets like the one in this video I use the silicone spray.

I see some guys use a bedding and glazing compound between the rubber moulding and the pinchweld. Any reason why they didnt do that?

I have not a clue. Never installed a windshield before and had them do it because they had done other cars for me and the work always turned out great.

I don't remember the name of the company but I know they wear company shirts with the phone number when installing the back glass video.

@@blakeneysanders4264 The company name was Abstract Auto Glass (817) 230-9120. They do great work. They provided the glass seals and install on my first truck at a fair price. Tell them Little Boy Customs sent you and ask for a discount!

I personally think applying light coat of grease with a small brush along pinch weld would be a heck of alot slippery and easier......................

Can we use wd40 or some kind of lube to get the rubber on the glass easier and also to pop it into the hole?

It’s best to find something that will not leave behind a heavy oil residue. The CRC silicone spray was go to until Walmart stopped carrying it and now a small van is over $8

I'm really curious why you did not dress the area on the outside of both the rear and front glass. Looks rusty in the video. Why not shoot some primer and paint around the edge before installing the glass?

The area the rubber was sitting in was not rusted. The truck did have alot of surface rust. Shortly after this video was made the truck was totaled.

@@LittleBoyCustoms they did a killer job!sometimes those rope-in’s can be nuts they’re sometimes such a tight fit depending on the rubber and you really don’t know until you get started how that one is going to be it can be worse than just tedious LOL. I have several F100 trucks in the yard now. Rebuilding the totaled truck with a new cab. No compensation for the loss truck.

As I stated in an earlier rear glass video, it would have been much better if you did some metal prep work on the noticeable rust especially around the windshield mounting surface. It will bite ya in the butt down the road.
