We as gamers we need to protect these modders and the mod community because they are the only ones who really care about games in general… this mod was working perfectly no many bugs, everything was great in all the time these big companies have never bring quality to our games and btw they are trying to demonize the work the moders do..

If the Twitter post they made got 2 million views, I’m sure a post about the DMCA with a petition attached could get some traction. The last thing Horror Inc needs is bad press when they just got done with a lawsuit.
Rights dispute is more accurate,nobody got sued. Sean and Victor fighting over who owns the F13 franchise which is worth hundreds of millions. Victor won his rights but doesn't have 100% . Horror Inc (Sean) could care less about public opinion. Until He and Victor sit down and negotiate, the ENTIRE F13 franchise is in limbo.
Why do they do this? They aren't losing money. They already announced that the game is shutting down at the end of 2024. There is no new Friday The 13th game coming out. The game is also free, so it's not like others are making money off of their IP. It's so unfathomably pointless it makes me mad. At that point, you may as well partner with the og F13 creator and the modders to make it official.

Man I feel bad for everyone who genuinely think summer camp will make it to console. For a moment I thought it would make it to ps5 and Xbox but now that I think about it, it’s impossible to make it to the consoles if it can’t even make it to pc. F the lawsuit and horror inc
City of Heroes (a vastly different game, to be sure) was shut down ten years ago but a secret server was running until a few years ago when it got leaked and multiple servers emerged. Finally, about a month ago, the most popular server (Homecoming) got an official license from NCsoft to keep running as long as it wasn't for profit. If only Horror Inc would do the same. Maybe the makers of these mods could ask the Homecoming team for advice on how they did it. Trust me, NCsoft looked just as closed to the idea as Horror Inc does. It's worth a try.

Not surprised at all. I predicted a cease and desist order when all these promotional videos by Alekos and others gaining so many views. I mean just draw as much attention as possible to something despite being free it's not their property plain and simple. I mean they already got a cease and desist for Camp Blood what 2-3 years ago and it never got past the beta stage as a result. Did they NOT think it would not happen again? SMH I know Horror Inc to most of you are acting like the old guy sitting on his porch yelling at kids to stay out of his yard but hey it's their property.
ik, really i agree, the modders have been playing dumb even though they probably knew they needed permission from the rights holders and the original devs who made most of the structure for resurrected plus what these modders were doing was illegal. With the hype from new f13th youtubers like Alekos and others these mods were short-lived- rip f13th the game😭🪦
Welp, this sucks. Was really hoping for it to actually stick around for at least a few months, but nope. It's a sad end for F13. Until Jason gets into DBD, we'll never have anything to replace this game. Maybe if it had a petition, then just maybe it would stand a chance. Still though, it's sad to see the copyright holders target this game. R.I.P Resurrected & Summercamp.
@@poison5343 this game was copyrighted and the original game costed money and this is free and also since it was copyrighted they are also adding things that had supposed to be in the game but couldn’t happen because the lawsuit and they are making their own changes with the game

F13 is gone! You can’t do anything about it so I don’t understand why someone was trying to do this in the first place. Honestly I was waiting for a lawsuit because it was being made by someone else and not the og devs.

I agree slightly, modders did play dumb by advertising too much but however the complete edition is out and running for a while, i just wish there was another game like this again

And I agree with you, the Texas Chainsaw game is good but man the F13 game was like lightning in a bottle, to this day it's the only game that makes me genuinely excited and hyped to play and never gets old for me, it was a dream of mine since I've been a fan of the movies since I was a kid. We can dream that one day GUN or some other studio will remaster F13 the game and include a bunch of unreleased and new content. Also keeping my fingers crossed that the new F13 game in the works is gonna be good...
