Thanks for the information on the transmission it was very helpful tip. I had my transmission and I pay 260 dollars. Because it evaporated driving from fla to new jersey and the dealership couldn't find out how it happened. It stop when we arrived at the dealership. And no sign show on the dash board of a problem.

Congrats on the new truck!! Just be careful with the wiring when installing. I had an issue with loose wiring and had to rig one of them. If you can pay a little more, I’d recommend Morimotos! Did mine it’s 80 in lbs which is like 8-9ft lbs lol, and you should Rtv that whole pan with the gasket, it’s worth the extra money

What size wheel and tires are those offset also Do u have a lift if so.what ?

Wheels are 22x10 Moto Metal Mo807; offset is -18. Tires are 33x12.5 Predator Allterrains. I’m running a 2.5 leveling kit. They are Eibach leveling struts. @Me and Car Keys......I have a issue (w/F-150) when I am driving 35 - 40 mph I feel a small misfire but, if I accelerate through to about 45-50 mph I won't feel it. I changed out my sparkplugs recently to see if that would solve the issue but its still there (btw I used the recommended Motorcraft plugs). Have you experienced this issue? I am thinking about replacing all of the coil pack. Get back with me if you know bro'😮

Take it somewhere and get it diagnosed my man, don’t just keep firing the parts cannon at it. These newer trucks have sensors everywhere, and if one of them isn’t working, it throws everything off. Heck, it could be your battery not giving everything the correct voltage. Mine was just replaced because my automatic start/stop was acting up. Could be a fuel pump or injector issue, could be throttle position sensor, a MAF sensor. Better to just get someone to track down the issue.

From what I have been told transmission flush are not recommended because there is additives in the transmission that Ford (even GM) put into the transmission that will be flushed out completely. Whatever that means😮

If you haven't already have your tired re-balanced and check the alignment. The reason why no to do a transmission flush is cause you are going to move stuff around and could cause more of a problem then it's worth. Better to do a drain and fill, even though your not getting all the fluid out, it prevents a possibility of a catastrophic failure of the transmisson

Thanks for that. I understand the logic on the transmission flush but doesn’t that leave bad particles in the transmission?? I had my tires rebalanced twice in a month. That’s actually how this whole thing started. I haven’t gotten an alignment though.. thanks for that advice. That might solve my issue too! Thanks for the comment!

Good deal, glad you got it fixed. You need a good set of thread taps for issues like that. When you over tightened the bolt it deformed the threads in the hole and stretched the bolt until it snapped. Sometimes it will just strip the threads out also, but if it doesn’t, you can just run a tap through and straighten everything out. As far as the reason to not flush, from what I’ve heard from mechanics over the years, it’s so you don’t distribute any metal shavings that may be in one part of the transmission through the whole thing and clog up the tiny little passages. And you are correct, the dipstick you were using is only supposed to be used by Ford technicians or a transmission shop. They absolutely don’t want the average Joe working on their own stuff. Dodge and Chevy are doing the same thing. As for me, I’m currently still waiting on my truck to be finished at the dealership. It’s been 3 weeks now, and they are still waiting on “ One time use “ bolts to put my transmission back together. I’ve put almost 1,000 miles on their loaner so far, 😂, at this rate it’ll need an oil change when I turn it in.

Lol And ford made it perfectly clear and I see why… this is probably also why they charge so much to service. but it wasn’t too bad of a repair. Ford uses “one time use” bolts for a transmission?! @@MeAndCarKeys , I did like the loaner, but it had its own issues. Sounded like one of the 4X4 hubs was hanging up. It got better mpg than my truck though, averaged almost 19 mpg after 1100 miles. Got my truck back Monday, so far everything is good. Cost me about 373 bucks for a battery, some labor, and a 100 dollar deductible for the transmission repair. Could have been a lot worse.

@@MeAndCarKeys , yes , I noticed the difference immediately, no hard shifts, radio works as it should, no more broken tailgate handle. I even installed a new Morimoto X3B third brake light, turned out good!
