F250 restoration project - Part 15 Frame Cab Mounts and It's a Rolling Chassis

Finally seeing some real progress in terms of the chassis. With it all painted it's getting close to needing to get the cab ready, but I couldn't do that until the cab mounts were replaced. Also, it's rolling around now so it's much easier to move.

Key to rivets is drilling. remove most of the metal, then center punch them and they usually pop out.

I know about the lazy thing, I've gotten much better about not welding in flip flops 😂

Haha, I know. That was crazy! Took all the precautions and STILL got hurt. Next thing you know, I'll get dust in my lungs even though I had my respirator on the bench.

do you have the diameter of the hole in the cab mounts? are they the same size as the rear cab mount holes?

i Normally wear long pants, sleeves, & safety shoes esp. when i'm grinding, or welding. Sorry you got burned!

I wear boots, gloves and long pants anymore. Wife got tired of my complaining. In my defense though, not all of those injuries would have been avoided haha.
