This is the final portion of the steering column rebuild. It’s cleaned, painted, and has new parts. It’s also installed and I managed to get my hands on an F600 dash cluster so I got that in there for good measure.

Good job. When taking things apart always "tag/bag" also use your phone for reference fotos. Nice instrument panel, that is what I am hoping to do...

Turned out really nice, and the dash/gauges will look cool when you get them filled.~Pat

Thank you sir. I believe it will be a nice dash to look at while driving. The AutoMeter gauges are expensive though. I'm doing my best to jeep it low budget for the time being. I want to drive it! It's still currently registered and insured.

I have a 69 f250 ranger camper special with a tool box on the passenger side, it's a rare truck I got it for $550 on a auction, it's in really good shape has a few rust spots but pretty solid

That sounds like a cool truck. A few rust spots would have me digging through metal to find it and cut it out, but sometimes it just isn't worth the trouble. If it runs and drives, I say enjoy it.

It has 6907 miles on it and runs really good

Love the Enterprise model ! I noticed you have the firewall matting installed, did you also add some sound deadener? Also here’s a tip I learned installing my tilt column, if you find the horn button makes contact when you turn the wheel, take out that carbon contact were the spring is and file it down about a .032 at a time.

There is not a firewall pad in place yet. Possibly the lighting and paint made it appear that way. I'll be using the PVC pad from National Parts Depot in the near future. I will be adding sound deadening material also.

RIPbiker13 , just saw a guy up here do his cab with FatMatt, ordered it from Amazon. He liked the adhesive backing, made installing easier

You didn’t show running the wires and attaching the collar with the two bolts. Can’t figure that out

I haven't done it. I just did the mechanical part. The wires exist, but they go no where. I have a full harness, but I don't know how to install it yet. I'm sorry, I wish I had a better answer for you.

I was right. It’s like putting an m-60 together. Did you not want to go a fluorescent color or even a glo paint on your gear indicator?

Never even thought about it. The column is under spring pressure tip and bottom. It wadda a nightmare to put back together. Next time, I'd rather buy a new column lol.

Haha thanks. By that you mean I'm piling crap together and making look like it belongs? I'm actually happy with the way it is going so far.
