Wow this is the first video I’ve seen where the intake doesn’t make all that much noise when parked. In all the other install videos people rev it out and it can be heard easy. I was surprised it doesn’t after installing it myself.

@@NWAuto I'm on my first car vw gli. Next is definitely a 340i 2018 hopefully in about 2-3 years. This gives time to save and also more aftermarket for the f30 b58s. Only thing is in car meets about 1/5 cars there are f30s, it's very common in nyc and I'ma just be another f30 owner nothing new but it really is better than an s3(other consideration but I wanna go 6 cylinder after 4). Other cars at meets would be the 370/g37/q50 bois, civic/accord bois, wrx/sti bois and the rest a mix of gtis, c43amgs and ofc mopar bois.

@@onuohafamily yeah the car market should calm down by then. And yeah the F30 340i is a popular car. But thats because they are really fun to own

I bought f31 340i xd m performance 2 months ago, the sound from the exhaust is just awesome. Stock from BMW 360hp, 500 nm.

Nice I checked out your videos. I'm shopping around for some nice 19 inch wheels right now. How do you like the intake? I sort of don't like that sound it makes after you let off the gas when you're just cruising around.

Thank you for the video. Looking at the street scenes, and thought... that looks like PDX, and the onramp to I84 confirmed it. Got the intake for my 2016 340i, and a quick question... I'm going to bring my car in to the local BMW dealership to get the cellular in the NBT upgraded. Will they take a look at this, and say, "we're not working on this... it's modded?" I know, YMMV, but anyone heard of this?

Yeah that was the 84 ramp. I've brought my car to BMW with a full exhaust, downpipe, intake. They still fixed my issues. Is your car tuned, or are you planning on tuning? Software updates might lock the DME and prevent tuning

@@NWAuto I'm at the beginning of my adventure into Bimmer Tuning. First things: Change spark plugs and coils, Put the intake and oil catch can on, then go to metal charge pipe, then turbo and downpipe. I like doing these kind of things in segments, so I know (and reinstall known good parts). This is my daily driver, so if it doesn't work on Monday, then I have job issues. :)

@@NWAuto Oh, I forgot... I have the JB4 for the B58 engine in my Burger package that arrived on Friday.

@@jeffdempsey2446 Just remove the JB4 before you go to the dealer. They can still find out you were tuned if you ever need a serious repair done. But they usually don't bother checking for the smaller repairs

I think though for pure performance the sealed Dinan intake is best.....expensive though

Can you put OEM cover back (close the air box) or BMS filter is too big for that?

does it only add turbo spool noise, or does it increase the actual engine sound in the cabin too?

It might have increased the engine noise a little bit. But the difference is small enough that I can't even tell for sure. I mostly notice the turbo spool.

hey i recently installed my intake on my F32 but i got a check engine light on now. could it be - that i dont have a oil catch can i didnt leave the bottom of my stock intake box like u did, i took it all out. could that be why? or anything else come to mind?

I wonder if its something related to the MAF sensor. Did you revert back to stock and the light went away? I never had this issue with mine

The one I have is only for F chassis cars. But you can try to find one for the 7 series. Install should be mostly the same

Man I just installed this and I don’t get that “Darth Vader respirator” noise. Kinda all I was looking for in it too. Do you think I did something wrong?

Did you install both the intake and the pipe too? I actually didn't really like that noise. I mainly bought it for the turbo noises
