USA denied Turkey access to the F-35 due to concerns that the Russian S-400 missile defense system could potentially compromise it's security by collecting sensitive data. Given that India also possesses the S-400 system, it is unlikely that the US would approve F-35 sales to India, even if there is interest.

There is no short cut to 5th Generation aircraft. While AMCA is being developed, joint production of KAI KF-21 is the only option to match PLAAF J-20s within the next 10 years. Su-57 or Su-75 will land us in sanctions and F-35 has too many strings attached.

Russia already have it's radar signature. In syria both s400 and israel f35 were deployed. Israel signed the deal with russia that russia will not shot down f35 in return israel f35 will not target russia protected area in Syria. Technically russia has radar signature as f35 flew over s400 for months

F 35 is absolutely not a solution for our problems. We should not fall into their traps. We don't like to have another issue like the GE 404 & 414 engines that are delaying our LCA 1 & 2 programme considerably . We should deal with more reliable suppliers who can meet our needs without interruptions. Maybe the technology can be slightly low but should be able to compensate for the loss with our most efficient, accurate and pinpoint hypersonic missile systems.

I don't know why the podcast rattled you, buddy. Every time the Anil Sir mentioned approaching the USA for F35, he also added there is a question mark if they will sell it. All he was trying to do was rattle the stakeholders, including the government, which was delaying the release of funds to LCA Mark 2, that the situation is way more serious than we realize. Also, as you mentioned, if India approaches the US and, by diplomatic manoeuvring, manages to convince the US to sell just 2 squadrons of the F35 without compromising much (highly unlikely), it's not a bad thing for the Air Force.

If USA is offering us F-35(even after us acquiring S-400), we should get some of 'em in my opinion. Like atleast 36 to 50 of them just like how we've acquired Rafale. It can also help our pilot to train on fifth gen fighters before we get jets like AMCA in the future.

It's a widely reported fact, PAF F16s have over 60 US nationals on ground monitoring them which is why neutrals believe Pakistan never had an F16 shot down because the whispers in Washington would've come from staff on ground, which were that no F16 was shot down in 2019!

okay, which countries are gonna come? S.Korea with KAI KF-21 B? but it is 4.5 gen jet which looks like a 5th gen then Turkey's Kaan isn't ready and even if it is ready they won't sell. So, basically, US will ignore it and China is the other option and then there is Russia who has 5th gen fighter. So if we know the result why release a "tender" when we know the result and only three nations on this planet have 5th gen. UK, France, Japan are also working with the US and independently but it has similar timelines like AMCA and we can directly ask them to join any of there programs since we enjoy good relation with all there states through diplomatic channels.

Mrfa is dead project instead of concentrating on mrfa we must buy 3 or 4 squardons of rafale or atleast buy kf21 and 6 to 8 squardons of tejas mk2 depending upon trails and concentrate more on amca fighter jets 300 to 350 and start a development of sixth generation fighter jet for the replacement of 4th generation fighter jet after 2055 or 2060.

अगर हम खरीदना चाहें भी तो पहली बात US देगा नहीं हमें और अगर देने के लिए राज़ी भी हो गया तो strategic autonomy नाम की कोई चीज़ बचेगी नहीं, हम उसे अपने और systems के साथ seamlessly integrate कर नहीं पाएंगे, man-machine teaming वाला concept सिर्फ papers में रह जाएगा, यहाँ तक भी हम अपने दुसरे fighter jets से भी seamlessly teaming नहीं कर पाएँगे battlefield में & the most important हमें अपना S-400 डब्बे में बंद करके रखना/ रूस को ही वापस लौटाना पड़ेगा।😏😂

If F 35 is even offered, no one is talking about the technical bugs and airframe issues that was reported in F 35 few years back. Can US provide us a stable aircraft with all India specific changes is my concern. I think we should focus on developing preemptive strike capabilities and should focus on developing better IRST. A 200 km range IRST will be gamechanger in Chinese context. Ghatak development should be a priority and we should focus on getting this system in prod in next 2 - 3 years. The timeline might look too strict but we can follow the route of maturing the system while in service like the j 20 s are made to their best use.

If not only 3 contenders are there Dassault Rafale (existing infra,costly not ready for full tot, not much tech or support us in amca) Lockheed Martin F-21 (good affordable fighter, can offer amca support) KF 21(Almost AMCA,Directly u can cancel AMCA , develop future versions on it, same engine in mk2, join now u can develop from scratch, develop engine with them)

The whole Tejas program is literally in the hands of the Americans. We have seen how GE is now acting up about the engines. If the F15 dosent get selected it will cause a lot of problems for the AMCA program as both Tejas and AMCA is dependent on GE for engines. By the time IAF will have the AMCA,Pakistan and China will both have superior fifth generation squadrons which will not be helpful for India.

F-35 is a "system" not just a fighter. We cannot afford the whole infrastructure to employ that system. Moreover, F-35 is highly overhyped, many have crashed, many are grounded due to problems in operational readiness and deos not justify it's price tag.

Why discuss a product that's was not offered or available on the table ??? Even if it's offered better stay clear of U.S for strategic purposes and your independence.. Buy Rafale F4 standard in the interim for better mantainance and take the hard & long route to develop AMCA , TEDBF , TEJAS Mark 2 to achieve self reliance and ensure we develop a futuristic aerospace ecosystem right here in India for future generations

F35 ek white elephant hai aur uspar kharch karne se achha AMCA project par hi paise kharch karne chahiye. Aur new technology par invent karni chaiye uspar kharch karo.

Euro fighter in mrfa is good option. But only if we can get better deal and permission to conduct upgrade on our own. Nobody is buying eurofighter and 80-100 aircraft means lot of business for struggling European partners

Your clip is a conjecture. To the cost of F35 add cost of Israeli subsystems. Add cost of maintainance. Su57 are better option to manufactured in India under Make in India. Buy 200 Aircrafts in flyaway condition and make 600 more in India. India needs 60 to 75 Squadrons of long range fighter aircraft with Maje in India complete TOT. India should limit purchase of Rafales to additional 2 sqadrons.

And he is abslutely right, at this point you really don't have any other option besides F-35. Strings attached comes with any other country not just the US, and your adversaries don't play by your rules, so they'll get their 5th gen fighters as soon as they can whether you like it or not. You might as well just get the F-35 honestly

India should not buy f-35 from usa rather india should buy additional rafale and focus on amca. India should try to increase number of aircraft built per year to atleast 40 aircrafts and also india should look for alternative engine suppliers usa isn't reliable weapons supplier.
