I have AWE axle-back + ER catted downpipe on my 340i and I like it a lot for daily driving. It's a little quiet in the cabin but with all windows down it sounds very good. I had resonators delete with this same setup before and it sounded insane like a proper sports car, but I eventually put the resonators back on because it was a little drony for my liking as a daily driver. I also had an agency power intake that I eventually took off because I hated the way it hisses at lower rpm
I think so as well. Something about the current sound I’m just not a fan of. Not tin can sounding but just doesn’t sound right. I think I’ll start off switching to a catted downpipe. If it’s still not enough I’ll mess with the resonators.
The car sounded so much better with the stock downpipe 😅 do you have any ideas about what changes you’re gonna make? I have stock exhaust with dual res delete and want to get a catless dp but i’m guessing it’s gonna sound like shit.
I'm not too fond of the catless I only had it like this for a week or two. I will get the awe mid-pipe to make it a full awe cat back. Then get a catted downpipe and see how that sounds.
@@jack.dahl1 Damn, I want to run ethanol eventually but I heard it gums up the cat. I think Im gonna try a catless dp with the stock exhaust and add my resonators back. If it ends up sounding like shit I’m gonna do an intake and turbo upgrade so you just hear the turbo lmfao. I really wish you could run a cat with ethonal
Yes they’re not OEM though. They’re Avant Garde M359. Decently priced 19x9 et35 19x10 et 38. They Should fit an f30 Id maybe stick with 225, 255 my tires are a little big. But my tire sizes have the same rolling diameter so you could run the 235/40 265/35 on xdrive
@@matthewdasilva5871 No, I took the downpipe off. I wasn’t a fan of the sound. But just the axel back doesn’t sound the best, either. The AWE midpipe and axelback sounds the best IMO. Stock downpipe.
It’s annoying for me personally, I think some people would say there’s no drone. This axelback isn’t worth the price on its own imo. The full catback somehow solves the drone.
