"Looks like I need to work out more." Instantly thought about you working out with the Kubo's.. Thank for this informative video Adam. The question I have about changing your own oil for these high-performance cars is: Do you need some kind of program key/device similar to the BMW when you change your oil change? I know though friends whenever you did any maintenance it triggers a check engine light. I hope you and your family have a great and safe weekend.
Working out with you would be like a beat down Brother! Luckily I was able to just hang with Lisa and Gary for part of the day. A full day work out would probably kill me. 😂😂😂
That is a good question on the oil change. All I know is that the only car that I own that needs the service light reset is the SV. I use a Leonardo. I hope you and your family have a great weekend as well. 😁👍
Does the vehicle lose value if you service it yourself or get it done at a non-official shop? Will it be harder to sell because it wasn't serviced at a Ferrari dealership who I assume will over charge you for small stuff?
That is a very good question Bud. It would really depend on the buyer. There are people out there that will only purchase a Ferrari that has its complete service history documented by the dealer, but I find that is less of an issue as the car gets older.
awesome how you use your resources to save time and money! that's really interesting how you can measure the clutch wear. if you were to replace the clutch would you have to use the factory clutch or could you just buy an aftermarket but some re-calibration is needed?
I like to save money, but love to save time my friend. Hopefully something I have learned along my path can help you. I have had to replace a few clutches and have gone with factory, but I may look at alternatives in the future. 😁👍
Adam Saruwatari Xtreme Thank you 🙏 Yes everything is pretty much open with some restrictions of course. Makes it easier to grab a bite now after a cruise 👍
ever tried the Penzoil platinum made from natural gas ? they claim it's the next big thing in oil technology. I'm guessing because it's made form natural gas they sell it for less than other synthetic oils. I usually get a 5 quart jug of 5w-30 at Walmart for $22 and some change.... good practice on checking the coolant. A lot of people don't realize that there is a lubricant in coolant for water pump bearings. In my car and motorcycle I just drain the radiator once a year and refill it with new coolant since it's not a difficult task...
Hello Bud. I have used Penzoil Platinum as well. The results from the Lab. Came back great as well. I buy most of my oil from Walmart as well. It is so hard to beat their prices. I started testing the coolant, and it has saved me quite a bit of time and money. Have a great weekend! 😁👍
Hi Adam, thanks for always sharing your tips when working on your beauties. Love how pristine your cars are, even the underside. How long did it take you to service your F430? Keep up the good work & stay safe.
I am glad you liked the Info. Bud. Dru is the reason the cars look so good. She cleans the underside when they are up in the air. I believe the F430 service took a couple of hours. It is hard to say for sure since I did it in between my farm work. Take care and stay safe as well. 😁👍
From a fellow F430 owner this is great! Have you had any issues with a leaky or weeping throw out bearing? Or weeping oil/water cooler? Mines reaching 29k and those are concerns of mine in the future
I am glad you liked the video Bud. The F430 has been solid for me. I had a weeping throw out bearing on my 355. The weeping slowed down by using different synthetic oils to make it to the clutch change. I have not had any oil/water cooler line issues yet. My Ferrari Tech. Friends have told me that they have seen F430’s go 60k without any issues. Hopefully that will put you a little at ease. 😁👍
Great tutorial video! Castrol, eh? You send in your oil sample to a lab with every oil change? And I am assuming you change oil based on time, not milage or hours?
Thanks Brother! I do send a sample into the lab every time I change the oil. You are correct that I use time as the metric of when to change the oil. Are things staring to open up over there?
@@AdamSaruwatariXtreme The usual traffic seems to be coming back, and hospitals seem less overwhelmed. However, I sill think the virus is all around us here. We are still home bound for now
If that were true, we would be even. I am really good at editing. I take 20 years off my life in the videos. 😂😂😂. Have a great weekend Brother, and stay safe! 😁👍
Adam lol um this video seems to be a bit different. I get the feeling you was a bit tired doing this vloge. I like how you just put it out there take it or leave it so as to say. The car is beautiful as all your cars are. So I have a question about superchargers. I got mine on and done I wanted one that had some sound and what I got is just really loud everything I find only shows how to make them louder. I think cause I only have a very short intake pipe to the supercharger and its mounted on the front bodoom of the car is one reason its so loud and I'm thinking maybe blow back is some of the reason to I only got a blow off valve on it it works good but I still get a lot of boost I'm trying to keep it around 10psi but it likes to push 15 to 20. I can get 30psi but my tune wont take it and I need a better computer for it. I have some clips up on my page you can hear what I'm talking about. Let me know if you have any ideas on the loudness. Stay up ride low my friend 🙏👍
I will help you with what I can David. Have you considered running a larger pulley on the supercharger? If your target is 10 psi and you are at 15-20 psi, it would make me think you driving the supercharger harder than necessary even off power. I would think that you are using more Crank. Power than is necessary?
Are you using the blow off valve as a bypass valve as well? I have always used a bypass valves with Superchargers so they are only under heavy load when necessary.
@@AdamSaruwatariXtreme you make a lot of since here. Thank you. Yes all I am running is a B.O.V. I do think I got some of it figured out I was having a lot of blow back I went through the charge pipping and fixed some of what I could see as being a problem and its not as loud now. But I'm going to see about a bypass valve to it may help me alot on this thing. Lol thanks Adam ill keep you informed if that helped out I'm sure it will stay up buddy ride low 🙏👍
Hi Adam. Thanks for another great video! I service my RX-7, but the F430 looks quite a bit more involved. How much more difficult do you think it is vs the RX-7?
Thanks Amigo. Your memory is solid. Again, happy anniversary! I still like the look as the F430 as much as the day I bought it. How are things going up there? Have they started opening things up?
@@AdamSaruwatariXtreme Thanks man! Still self quarantining here with the family. Playing video games with the boys. Working 2 days a week. That's my dream work schedule. Lol. Northen Cal is opening slowly, but people are still cautious. Have a great day.
