In July 2024 Sean Lennon and his team released remixed versions of John Lennon's "Mind Games" album. Originally released after the controversial "Some Time In New York City," "Mind Games" was initially not embraced by critics or fans, who considered it to be mediocre by Lennon standards. In this episode, the Fab 4 Free 4 All welcome Beatles author and Lennon expert, Chip Madinger, as a fourth show panelist. Chip and the F4F4A guys discuss and debate those initial claims of 'inferiority' and also analyze the new release to see if this new version will changes our (or anyone else's) minds about this Lennon "masterpiece," as claimed by Sean. NOTE: The new (CD audio) content of this title is available in both two-disc and six disc packages.

Agree there is too much pushing of Yoko Ono on this package. If this was a John and Yoko album fair enough. I wonder if we'll get a "Walls and Bridges" ultimate box set. Agree also that Yoko should have her own box sets.

The book in the "Cube" was available for pre-order MANY months before the "Cube" was announced.

@@Beatletoon true. But in the video the "Exclusive to the Cube" wasn't mentioned, and I didn't know that the book in the Cube was different. At least the text is available without spending $1300+.

Great video guys. Chip is great as always. Still trying to find the hidden tracks lol 😝. The Uncut magazine and CD sampler is great. I miss the days of CD samplers. This one is great. Why the Paul Archive boxes don’t have at least 5.1 mixes is shocking.

When Mitch says “production”, he is referring to mixing and mastering which isn’t really production as such. Production is what a producer does like he said. Working on tempos, arrangements, musicians parts, keys of songs, instrumentation etc…

loved the album since I got it as a gift when it came out. I was invited to play at Five Towns College Lennon concerts for three years. Each one, I did a track from the album!!

17:30 - There's nothing mediocre about any of the songs on Mind Games. I just hated his falsetto on One Day (At a Time)
