Fabarm Elos N2 Allsport Shotgun Review: Can you shoot Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays ALL with the same gun? With the Fabarm Allsport you certainly can! Thanks to all of the adjustability and features such as the Quick Release Rib that allows the shooter to swap ribs for different points-of-impact. The Allsport could very well be the most versatile shotgun on the market today.
Shotgun Passion with Travis Mears is a new exclusive series for this RU-vid channel filmed on location at Defender Outdoors Clay Sports Ranch in Fort Worth Texas. Here we review shotguns, share shooting tips, and discuss the various shooting sports and disciplines. Occasionally some trick shooting fun as well. Be sure to follow this channel and subscribe for each new episode.
For more info on the shotgun reviewed in this episode, see below: The Allsport is available in 4 different versions depending on your specific needs:
Fabarm Elos N2 Allsport - (stock is designed to fit the High school and Collegiate competitors and some Adult shooters with the 14” length-of-pull and slightly reduced pistol grip)
fabarmusa.com/...
Fabarm Elos N2 Allsport XL - (The "XL" model has full sized stock dimensions designed to fit most Adult shooters with the 14.75” length-of-pull)
fabarmusa.com/...
Then there is the TYPE-T... which is just a fancy way to say "Trap Combo". It's essentially the Allsport with the O/U barrel and both ribs for 50/50 and 65/35 POI + An additional 34" Unsingle barrel setup with 70/30 POI. The Unsingle barrel is good for Trap specialists who want to shoot more Singles and Handicap and prefer an Unsingle for those games. The Trap Combo is available in both the original Allsport with the shorter length-of-pull and reduced grip radius (fabarmusa.com/..., as well as the XL with the full size stock dimensions (fabarmusa.com/....

I have been shooting the 32” Allsport XL for over a year now. Love the gun. Well balanced, beautiful wood and metal finish. This is a very high quality shotgun with a price point that is reasonable.

I have been shooting the Fabarm N2 Sporting model for a while now.. Great shooting and reliable gun, Looks good as well..A very good price point for the features you are getting... I would recommend this gun to anyone looking a good reliable over under shotgun on a budget.. It has all you need to have a great time on the sporting clays course.. Note: I use #8 1250 fps 1 oz loads shooting sporting clays.

I had the 30" XL model and loved it. Shot Sporting and trap well with it. Stupidly traded for a beretta 692 and didnt shoot it near as well. Will end up with another Fabarm in the future.

Looks good, but how reproducible is the pattern when changing the rib. If I flip flop the ribs, how accurate (for a shotgun) will the pattern be. Will I have to take it back to the patterning board.

The quick release ribs have a fixed position and slide on the rails and lock into place, which means the pattern is repeatable each time you swap ribs. There are no micro-adjustments to the ribs that can affect the pattern. Testing methods may vary, shooting stance, aim point, etc. but using a lead sled you should see no change.

Had to quit shooting clays due to declining vision. Couldn't even see the clays Travis was shooting, even after repeating the video multiple times. I have to say however, that although I owned a nice Caesar Guerini, we regularly had people come to our clubs who could shoot all those sports very well with cheap guns. One kid who had never shot before bought a COACH Gun at a country store - you know, the kind of short barrelled gun carried on stage coaches. And he cleaned the course easily. Just goes to prove that expensive equipment isn't always the answer.

On the ribs, is the 70/30 rib taller at the stock end than the 50/50 rib?

Nope same height. 70/30 rib just tapers more at the end of the barrel so POA looks the same looking down the rib.

I’ve just shot one and was getting lots of recoil into the face. Anyone know why?

Either light face pressure or face was too far back on the comb.
