I am so glad you enjoy your shaves so much because we get to enjoy them as well. My parents used to give me a bottle of Brut every Christmas. (Back in the 1970's)

The smell or Brut always brings back fond memories of my father also. Love the smell but my wife, not so much. My grandfather was an Old Spice man. Great childhood memories from those two great fragrances!

Great shave Paul💈💈 Happy Birthday young man..👌 Milly is a beautiful little tiger, precious. I really like Brut, the original has some magic in the mix, like original Old Spice.. The Futur took no prisoners, slayed the beard easily. Magnificent floral display today, Mrs H never disappoints, thank you. As a collector of all things vintage shaving, my liquids are the most cherished because the lifespan is the shortest. I want to use them but an overwhelming urge to resist is there. In the end though, on special occasions only, I'll open the safe and get some Brut from the 25oz bottles, or Shulton Old Spice or Avon Deep Woods from a stylish glass decanter, revel in the glory then cry a little as I know it can't be replaced. The Gillette Rubie blade offers a close and comfortable shave, plus they have unbelievable longevity. Paul, I understand you when you say there is more shaving to do. My son says my shave looks good, but if I can feel whiskers in any direction it will drive me mad. Smooth is a must or why bother?! SOTD: King C Gillette razor loaded with a Rapira Super Stainless blade (2nd use). La Toja shave stick lathered with a Graydog Spalted Maple 26mm synthetic brush. Finished with Thayer's AF SF skin Toner and Stirling Executive Man aftershave. BBS results with nary a weeper. Great shave Paul. Yes, the Thayer's has a super mild medicinal scent. And once again, it's setting 6 for a couple of days growth. Even when I haven't shaved for a week I leave mine on setting 1 (one) because that is allllll you need. Try the damn thing on setting 1 (one) for a change instead of full-macho setting 6 and surprise yourself. And Happy Birthday :)

I'm sure, you would recognize the brand of cigarettes, your dad loved to smoke by the smell of the smoke alone..... For me, it's Hattric and Old Spice aftershave. Both of them where used by my dad. Walking down the stairs behind him as a little boy, after he left the bathroom... My sotd was: Razorock Puros shavingsoap, lathered up in the face with Yaqi rainbow brush, Merkur 42 C, Gillette Platinum blade, whitch hazel, Arko sensitive aftershave balm and Razortock Puros aftershave.

I bought it thinking that the settings would be comparable to my older super adjustable safety razor. I was in for a rude awakening. I have shaved with it twice since I bought it. My mid week shave will be the Leaf Twig Thorn with a half Personna Red blade, Chisel and Hound 26mm Badger Brush, PAA Cube 2.0, Noble Otter Jungle Warrior soap and aftershave, and some L’Oréal Men Expert Birch Sap Balm to finish the shave. Meal of the day will be some Grilled Salmon with some Sweet Potatoes, grilled asparagus, rice pilaf and mixed green salad. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!!!!
