Same here, C-rider on zwift, 470ish watts as 1 min best, and weighing more also at 86 kilo. 5min power at 342watts. I ride as good as every day, and about 15.000km a year. Obviously I'm older than Fabian, but yeah his and the pros numbers are really impressive.

The more time you spend in the tt position, the closer the numbers get to your road bike position - safe to say his numbers are probably very similar in both positions.

Legends don't use motors on road bikes and swap their bikes at key points with a mechanic already waiting there without the team car as was seen on a many occasions. This liar was using motors for years even on the Time Trials. After UCI starting doing full scans of the bikes him and a few other liars and cheaters suddenly lost all their power lol

Fabulous Fabian. For number considerations, look at the difference b/w Cam’s upper body vs Fabian’s pics at his peak. Similar overall weight but Fabian (and most Pro’s) are wafer thin up top (whereas Cam has more musculature). The Pro’s power is in their core and legs and that weight discrepancy up top makes a huge difference on output (because their weight is in the musculature of the legs, not on the rest of the ‘vehicle’ they are moving).

Can't help but feel happy for someone achieving what he has. The 1 hour record in a velodrome is also at just over 400W. I often think about this when I manage to hold it for a few minutes :). And what a great attitude he has towards promoting cycling, and a positive cycling mentality.

As a rec rider with an FTP around 230W, his numbers are beyond my capacity to comprehend. I had a ride recently with another guy whose FTP was 350-360, and whenever we hit a short punchy climb, he would leave me in the dust (even with me standing on my pedals and him remaining seated). Just really really impressive.

Cancellara will be remembered for the most iconic attacks in the history of pro cycling. He could use the motor controversy to his advantage. It's a compliment, really. I'd love to hear him give a commentary about dropping Boonen on the Muur at the 2010 Tour of Flanders. It's the best attack ever, I mean absolutely legendary. To not speak about it is a huge wasted opportunity. That is what true cycling fans devoted to this beautiful sport want to know.

I think he is being modest. There is a quote attributed to Geraint Thomas where he was sprinting out of the saddle in Flanders following Cancellara's wheel at 800W+ and Cance was still riding away from them all. When he says 600W average on a climb he doesn't mean in the zone it probably starts with a seated effort of 1000-1200W. Here is a once in a generation type of rider. You have to had seen a race in it's entirety to see what a huge Cancellara shaped hole the peloton has today. I miss him :)
