To cut gasket fibre, using die cutting machine (punching machine) or a CO2 laser machine will be ideal. I wouldn't consider using CNC Knife in such a case. What is the maximum thickness can cut by laser cutter. Can we use same laser cutter for different kind of usages like to fabric, wood, plastic sheet etc.

It depends on the laser power, if you use a 300Watt laser tube, it can cut 30mm plywood. We even provide 600W laser machine. For the second question, the answer is yes. The same laser cutter can be used for different usages. But different machine designs have their specialties for each application, especially since most production enterprises have niche requirements. If you are just starting a business and haven't figured out what field you want to focus on in the future, we suggest you choose a laser machine (60-100Watt) with a fixed working table.

Does laser-cut fabric pieces (natural wool for instance) would have burnt smell from the edges?

Laser cutting of most fabrics has almost no smell, such as cotton, linen, denim, polyester, etc. But when cutting wool, fabric made from animals, there is a smell of burning grease. What fabric are you gonna cut?

@@MimoWorkLaser Will send an email but the thickness is ~0.6mm but can be up to 1.2mm (up to 800gsm). Cutting speed is not that critical but cutting precision and quality is.

Different from knife fabric cutter, the laser cutter can auto-feed the roll fabric and automatically cut without manual intervention. We have tested the laser for cutting multilayer layers of fabric, the layers and edges are fine after separating the layers.
