Fabric Storage Bin With Lid | No Sew | Recycle Old Cardboard Box

In this video, I have tried to recycle one of my regular cardboard box into a fabric storage bin, which can be used to store anything and everything. Just use one of your regular courier boxes and a pretty, thick fabric and cover the box using some hot glue. Follow the measurement directions to get a cleaner finish. To make it look more professionally done, use some grommets and a cotton rope to make some handles. Finish it by making a lid, or leave it open, if that’s your liking.
These boxes are very common in stores and pretty handy for storage purposes. The best part of this DIY is that it does not require any special skills or tools and can be done really quickly. It can even be a good project for you to do it with your kids, to store their toys and stuff.

This is a great way to get storage bins that look nice and use up materials you already own. When you are making them you could have any printing on the box show through your material. The easiest way to avoid that is to break the box down completely and then reassemble it inside-out so that the outside of the box is plain, un-printed cardboard and all the printed marks or shipping labels are on the inside. Oh, and be sure to wipe down the outside of the box before you begin to remove any dirt/debris that accumulated during shipping. There are a few additional things you can do to make the boxes more durable too. You can add a second layer of cardboard inside the box on the ends where you attach the handles, and you can add an extra layer of flat cardboard to the bottom to make it stronger. And be sure to use boxes that are sturdy and undamaged to begin with. One of the cheapest ways to get fabric (if you don't already have excess fabric at home) for these boxes is to check thrift or second-hand shops. Window curtains, furniture covers, sheets, pillow cases, or thin blankets all work well for this. Even buying large pieces of clothing in fun colors and patterns can work too. There are a ton of inexpensive ways to make these boxes look extra cute and last a long time.
