Face-changing is an ancient Chinese performance art that is a component of Sichuan opera. Hu Yibo, 13, learned the act from his grandfather and other experienced masters. Dressed in brightly-colored costumes and while changing from one mask to another in just the blink of an eye, Yibo skillfully swipes open a fan to hide his "magical" movements. As a young inheritor, he undertakes daily training to perfect his skill set in the hope of becoming a master one day.

So much dedication and talent! I was so lucky that I saw a face-changing artist at my own city as part of an event organized by China’s embassy in my country, I will never forget that amazing performance, it was so magical, mysterious and incredibly beautiful. My dream is to see another artits like that but this time at their own home in Sichuan, fingers crossed!
