I just wanted to say the way you explain everything has helped me understand hair wayyyyyy more than my cosmetology school and past 2 salons did, please keep making these vids! ✨❤️
My hairdresser gave me this haircut without asking me if I wanted all the weight taken out of my hair (Which I didn't, I was just there for a trim and shape). It completely changed my whole head of hair. It caused mechanical damage and was SO hard to style after... It also made my hair really prone to frizzing up with literally the smallest amount of humidity. It was so straggly and disgusting that I had to cut 5 inches off the end, this was a year ago, I'm still growing out the 'internal layers'. I had good quality hair before, now it's a disgusting frizzy mess. When is this horrible trend going to end?! Hairdressers should check their clients have the type of hair that can withstand this type of 'styling' before they do it, not just do it on everyone just because it happens to be in fashion, that's how you lose clients.
A hair dresser should always listen to what the client requests then repeat it back to make sure they heard correctly. Sounds like they used a dull razor on your hair, also… I hope you find someone new!
@@lindseystein9676 Thanks for your kind words. I have found a new hairdresser. I had one that did my cuts and one my colour, but the one that does my colour does both now. x
Omg I always had platinum my entire life & a colorist dyed it brownish brassy ugliness. I don't trust anyone to get back to blonde, I've tried TWICE, no one can do what I ask for. All I was able to find out is she used redken toner 20 clear & then the next one up, maybe 21? I wish I had a good hair stylist I could trust. I don't see anything in an caption...
@@juliefin1124 I wasn't criticizing her. Razor cutting and over texturing of any kind damages the hair. It thins the ends and when it grows out it looks raggedy.
If you like this type of cut I’m sure this is well done but personally I’m not a fan of this very texturized and razored haircut. Something about it feels a bit dated. I had this cut many years ago and it was extremely unflattering on me and looked terrible when it grew out. It was too thinned out on the ends and honestly looked unhealthy on me. I love your channel though, this just isn’t my taste. If she likes it that’s all that matters though!
This overlayering and face framing is terrible. Her top layers are way too short. Cut 6 inches straight off the fried and split ends, would look happy and healthy and not ruin her length.
I don't get this technique at all. When I get a haircut, i want to look like I got a haircut. This razoring looks cool to watch but This did nothing for the customer.
