I think the understated benefit of Lion fisting is that it applies the 3 second window of gaining extra finger stacks every time you hit an enemy hero, with cleave. So at level 6 you could potentially get multiple finger stacks right off the bat, and then suddenly your next ult is giving you 80-160 bonus damage. Once you pick up the finger stack HP talent you're no longer easily burstable and become a real fingering fisting menace It is definitely a "win more" facet though, I'm always careful to see the enemy lineup before taking it
problems are the following: i think very rarely do we see early huge teamfights where a lion is asked to auto attack after an ult. you are almost always better off stepping up and hexing again or mana draining a core. most of the time when you catch someone off guard in a hypothetical teamfight and ult-kill them quickly the rest of the enemy team will scatter away and you wont get the chance to click them down. Like i said, if you lets say do catch someone while still retreating, your role is to hex/impale them and not try to land a right click. Realistically at the end of the day, how many more extra stacks would this grant you? 5-6 in a 30 min game (maybe thats too much). If you get the shard and mana drain, you deal a ton more dmg than this talent.
it plays well into a team that doesn't want to waste their stuns on the lion when your team wants to group up a lot and take fights early. The snowball potential is lost if your team only takes fights when they have to or only ganks and avoids fights. I've had games where as lion I have 10+ stacks by level 8 or 9 because of team fights that resulted in 3 or 4 stacks each. Which a lion who is getting tons of finger stacks can snowball kinda crazy especially as the game goes on. It plays better as core lion also though since you want scepter to maximize the benefits of more stacks.
The Jakiro one does give you a huge amount of single-target damage with Q and E together which can let you be an even bigger bully in some lanes. I've been enjoying it quite a bit.
AA Exposure facet was changed in 7.36b. Now it just makes cold feet AoE with the radius based on your ult level. So by level 6 you can apply cold feet (stun included) to two heroes near each other. Its like his old 25 talent.
The kinetic fence for disruptor is awesome in my opinion. There’s so chances to use it because it has charges and a low restore time. Catching enemies, HG defense, helps stack creeps. The charges really make it hard for enemies to run away in lane. And most of all it’s fun as fuck
Liquid frost melts and the extra slow helps keep enemies stay inside macropyre the double hit also helps ramp up the damage. It's broken when paired with the right hero.
The lion fist of death is good, keep in mind, you don't need to kill them just hit them ones and your team needs to kill them within the 3 sec, like in a early fight i got 4 stacks, like it's easy to get in the 20 a 30 stacks and with the +70hp per stack talent make it so lion becomes very tanky.
I always take fence on disruptor now. I've trained to use it and I think it's better due to having two charges and much greater versatility. On paper it's not better, but there's so many edge cases and little corners you can utilise to fuck with enemy pathing, I think with practice it has the higher potential.
In case of Enchantress I find Spellbound superior and it is not even close. Oveprotective wisps are not noticeable in my opinion: I take level 15 healing talant and holy locket and with this combination I have enough heal so I can solo kill Tormentor for example. And even during laning stage when you have level 2 heal you are usually unkillable unless you are being ganked by enemy midlaner. But Spellbound gives you may more killing potential later! The broblem may be that I have low mmr (2.5k mmr): people in lower mmr brackets usually have problems with dispell so Enchant feels very impactful.
For kinetic fence, it needs at least three charges(with a cd so it can’t be abused) so you can make a triangle to trap people. This way it can act somewhat like the regular spell where it traps people and can be used to block off areas like ramps when needed. But as is it is almost useless.
This was my thought: why not give it the charges to mimic the functionality of a better spell since Fence will never NOT spread thunderstrike with that facet.
Muerta Call of the dead works on allies dying in the calling(also 200 radius outside of it) ANd ironwood treant counts as a catapult, absolutely insane
hey BSJ man, when it comes to silencer irrepressible, I choose it because in late game they get a mind breaker maybe. And the other thing, you said, then they just don't cast orchid on you: yeah that's better than NOT being irrepressible and getting silenced then. btw you are an amazing analyst of the game, Brian! Enjoying your videos!
Hey there BSJ, can you make a video about DotaBuff and Open Dota and how to use those sites (not to connect) what do the numbers means, what information do the numbers give and how I can draw an analysis from those numbers. I feel like so much data is available on there that I can not do an analysis for myself - on myself and I feel compelled to pay someone like you to to get on call and explain to me if I am doing something right in my games or not. But I dont have that kind of money, but also dont have the knowledge, so I was wondering maybe you can make a guide on how to extract information for myself from Open Dota off my own account and see what I can do better.
Yo Brian, I play a lot of Sharman and I'm sure you're right that the hex save is better, but at noob Archon the massive ward just feels so much better at pushing. Do you think it's usable or should I start taking the hex and getting used to it?
11:25 I always take slow burn but what I noticed that its Dispellable , so if you throw everything on a single hero he can use manta or eul's himself then 25-30% of that burn damage is wasted, so I swtich to the other facet,
Liquid frost is for its slow. If you are looking to be a banking support this is the facet to get. Liquid fire is still too good for certain situations but I actually find liquid frost to be better, especially if your team has a good tower killer
if anyone cares, I've been trying to learn Tinker support, Repair bots seems unaffected by Holy Locket, and Translocator is a Strong dispel; but yeah very helpful video, i didn't know Champion of Galrath made the golem bigger with more regen that's great
For lina it's slow burn vs any hero she can't easily auto attack and you build as more of a farming support. With thermal late game you are a second auto attack damage carry that the enemy has to focus but you are also tanky af bc of what you build. (Gleipneir bkb skadi make you like 3.5k hp lvl 20)
Yikes cant believe BSJ actually tried Jakiro Liquid Frost. Comparing the two facets that was an instant "absolutely not what were they even thinking doing this" moment for me
BSJ, Queen of pain masochist is better than you think. The damage you take you honestly dont even notice but all your spells do 15% more damage. Kaya and Sange, Aghs, Bloodstone makes you extremely tanky and gives you alot of damage. We all know how nuts the 20-25 talents were back in the day when thet gave 10-15% spell amp. QoP gets it for free from level 1. I think if QoP was more a meta hero, people would realise how strong this facet is.
I been running witchdoctor voodoo festeration in herald with amazing results my full build is mana boots, heart,Kaya&sange, bloodstone, holy locket, radiance I usualy rush the radiance right after mana boots using the gris gris gold to accelerate into it once you have radiance and lvl 4 voodoo festeration you do as much aoe damage as pudge with scepter and lvl 4 rot 😂
Strongly disagree about lich and SD. Lich shield becomes very annoying when you defend high ground, and it's really broken against illusions or summons. The other facet is just bad, it is simple to counter. SD second spell is very strong: it is increasing damage to the target if you targeted enemy, so it works perfectly against high hp heroes + it works good with your 3rd position (in meta which are blink initiators). Other facet is just meme
How to make Disruptor wall facet not a meme? Easy, give it damage and mana drain upon touching it like Clock's Power Cogs and have it slowly draw enemies towards it like EMP. Instantly fixed
I've been playing mid lion with the fist and it's been surprisingly good. You get a ton of finger stacks and if it's goes late you're a really strong carry. I am archon/legends though
I think its good even as a support. The good thing about it is that lion can get 1-4 more stacks per cast of finger. At lvl 6 a support lion who get fist and help kill 2 heroes with right clicks is now suddenly now has 2 stacks instead of 1. at lvl 15 maybe he successfully assisted in 2 more finger gank more times was able to get 3 more stacks because of the facet. so in that hypothetical. the lvl 15 lion had 3 stacks from finger alone and 4 stacks from fist. Thats 210 to 490 bonus hp from the lvl 15 talent. Aditionally you can now use finger at the start of the burst in a gank. Lion now does not care about the 3 sec rule because right clicks apply the debuff and pickoff attempts are more succesful. The HP talent is good even as a support because it allow Lion top live being initiated on. -2 sec Hex cooldown wont be useful if at the start of the fight you die after casting spells and a dead lion cant cast spells.
