Starring: Nicolas Cage, John Travolta
Directed By: John Woo
Synopsis: Obsessed with bringing terrorist Castor Troy (Nicolas Cage) to justice, FBI agent Sean Archer (John Travolta) tracks down Troy, who has boarded a plane in Los Angeles. After the plane crashes and Troy is severely injured, possibly dead, Archer undergoes surgery to remove his face and replace it with Troy's. As Archer tries to use his disguise to elicit information about a bomb from Troy's brother, Troy awakes from a coma and forces the doctor who performed the surgery to give him Archer's face.

One of the best action thrillers of all time, combining first-class action with an intelligent and exciting story. The special attraction of the film for me is that both main actors play both the hero and the villain. (Fun Fact: When I first saw it I was a kid and thought they swapped the actors' faces for REAL because the surgery looked so believable. My father then informed me that it was just a trick.)

HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY, FACE/OFF! One of the best action flicks in that genre of the 1990's. It was breathtakingly spectacular action flick I seen since I was 15 in that time. Least I got my Mom to let me see that movie and it's my personal favorite. Now, I can watch that movie again this year. For 25 years, John Woo, thank you for making this, the best action flick of it's time. YOU ROCK, PARAMOUNT AND JOHN WOO!

I was a big fan of John Woo since The Killer. Broken Arrow and Face Off blew my mind. I was in Collage studying Art in Mexico, I made this oil on canvas abstract painting about Broken Arrow. I visited Los Angeles in 1998. I went to Columbia Pictures since I was told John's Woo office was there. I left the painting with his secretary since he wasn't there at the time. I came back weeks later and his secretary told me he had gone to Australia to shoot Mission Impossible 2 but he told her to tell me that he liked the paiting very much and he will keep it at his home. Crazy ah? I don't even understand why the security guard at Columbia let me in twice.

The trailer is just as great as the movie itself, the way Sean Archer (Travolta) seems filled with anxiety as he describes his arch-nemesis, Castor Troy (Cage), even during transformation. Brilliant creativity, and Happy 25th!

The Rock, Con Air, and Face Off (a.k.a. The Holy Trinity of Nicolas Cage) are considered the best action films of Nicolas Cage in the 90s with some allies played by Sean Connery and John Cusack and great villains played by Ed Harris, John Malkovich, and John Travolta.

Technically speaking, Cage is the villain in Face Off. Travolta is the hero. They just happen to be wearing each other’s faces.

Imagine How people in 90's felt after watching that but in this Era of 2020's Its just a common thing. Hollywood was wild in 90's/00's era, they split some of the craziest truth past years without anyone realizing it. Nicolas Cage and his Obsession with face and burning (Ghost riders fan understand) is crazy. CGI, Details on muscle mask, audio software they use was pure replica from reality. Sometimes I believe AMerica creates everything, they are showing hints to us by Hollywood lol!!

Thank you so much for sharing!. I have searched for this film for ages. I remember being a child watching this movie with my grandmother and I was really scared on the part of Travolta's transformation, but it's actually a really good movie. I used to enjoy the cinema overall back in the 90s, though nowadays movies are not like these anymore, particularly when talking about its quality and stuff like that. Thanks again!.
