Thank you for this beautiful sermon. I relate so much to Nicodemus. Today I had a heavy heart and was torn and in my head I kept hearing the name Nicodemus. I am new to this walk and I am very grateful to have come across your teaching. Blessings🙏❤️

John's Gospel frequently contrasts darkness and light. Nicodemus comes to Christ at night. Night is darkness. Sin is darkness. Christ is the Light of the World; the One in whom there is no darkness. Nicodemus comes out of the darkness, his darkness, his sin to the Light of the World, the One in whom there is no darkness ...
"No man hath ascended up to Heaven, but He that came down from Heaven, even the Son of man which is in Heaven." Any man wearing jeans while "preaching" would face an insurmountable obstacle explaining John 3:13 in any cogent way, so skipping over it was his only real option.
Water baptism was instituted before jesus was approached by nicodemus. jesus at the jordan with john the baptist, upon being baptized the spirit descended upon jesus as he came up from his baptism. read it!
The blood is applied at Baptism 1 Peter 3:21 (NLT) And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience.
John also talks about the raising of Lazurus and how the Sanhedrin planned to kill him becuase many were believing in Jesus due to his being alive. Also nt mentioned in the other three Gospels.
And yet another preacher who glossed right over John 3:13. Except this guy didn’t even mention it. 3:1-12,14. What happened to 13. No one wants to touch that.

I think John 3:13 emphasises that none has ever been saved = come to heaven based on self righteousness and laws. And Jesus emphasised here that He is the one and only way to God. There is no other option. God bless
