Yeah, don’t remove buccal fat unless you have the bone structure and facial fat that can make up for the skeleton look afterwards. The removal of buccal fat is pretty in the first year but by the 2nd year, it’s incredibly gaunt and masculine looking. People end up getting fillers or fat graft over where the buccal fat used to be. It’s best to either ask for light shaving of buccal fat, or just leave it alone and get a face lift.

It depends on the skin elasticity and your age. Usually, after surgery, there can be cases of temporary sagging which can take 6 months or longer for it to improve :)

Hello!~ There is a possibility of skin sagging after bone reduction :) Also, sagging heavily relies on age and skin elasticity so some patients may experience minimal sagging and some patients choose to get lifting procedures or fat dissolving injections. @@swativerma6409 Swelling can take up to 6 months to heal so the final results can take up to 6 months. Even if your skin elasticity is good and you don't have a lot of fat under the chin, bone reduction can still play a role in sagging :) Since the bone is suddenly reduced, the skin and soft tissues can sag. A lot of people find that their sagging gets better after 6 months but it varies depending on each person. Thank you.
