This week at Ashville it's a week of first's; we are forced to offload trains ourselves or face a fine, we finally get some classes in the training room, we have 2 locomotives in the yard and have two trains in one day! All while juggling construction projects and keeping the yard open for business. A stressful week as a business owner/entrepreneur.

Just my opinion, but Daniel Owner of Ashville and youtuber, sounds better to me than Daniel the youtuber 🤷🏾‍♂️ I look at Daniel as a youtuber AFTER his business, he had his business first, then decided to RU-vid, unlike some RU-vidrs where their business and revenue IS being a RU-vidr. So I think calling Daniel a youtuber without including his construction/aggregate titles, comes of as if RU-vid is the only thing he does and has ever done is a slight insult to him and other business owners, who have successful businesses and just decided to document what they do on RU-vid.

Most accidents at work are caused by unrealistic expectations of management placing undue pressure on their workforce. They then blame the operator when something goes wrong, instead of looking in the mirror. Stay safe!

Get terry on more often! With a bit of practice in front of the camera I sure he will make a presenting wing man. I know his job is busy but it could free up some of your time!

I own a small scaffolding company out here in New Zealand, everytime I start to lose motivation and things start to get a bit hard and out of control, Ashville Weekly always gets me motivated to get back on top of things! Love the videos, keep up the good work! 👍

Just a safety tip. When you are putting air in earthmover tyres, stand by the tread, not the sidewalls, because if they are going to blow, it is normally the sidewalls that go. If they do, the ring is capable of decapitating someone.

Distance is better, the first thing that happens in a blowout is the thick belt of tread delaminates and whips down to the ground, as dirt industries said - distance is your friend

Instead of just relying on the handheld radios, you should install hard wired ones in all vehicles and staff rooms. Having all portables for the staff who are just walking around the yard.

39:20 I have lived near a rail line twice in my life and the sounds of trains do not trouble me in the slightest. My brain recognizes the noises and acknowledges them instantly, even heavy freight rumblings at sleeping times. Most likely the complaining residents are new arrivals and they need to own some responsibility for failing to check that train noises were going to be part of their lives. Well done, Flo' getting those wagons unloaded.

"Whats happening beyond Bay 6" , ," How much grease do we use in a week " , "What does Daniel do on Thursday evenings ?" that kind of thing . insights beyond deep dish. Daniel, love the videos and content, so much respect for your work ethic and drive. Please help my OCD and reliability mind set and have someone clear the undercarriage of the LH60 All that build up of muck from a ‘clean’ yard will wear out the under carriage prematurely. A quick clean once a week to remove the build up will save you a fortune in the future. Keep up the good work

I just love when Dan gets excited about something. His voice and facial expressions are so funny!
