I mean it's not that difficult once you know where the ball is going to be. When there's an uncertainty in line and length like in international level matches, that's when things become difficult.

@@JB_prodz7 he means cricketers need more criitcal thinking than baseball players as bowl is seaming, swinging and spinning off the pitch and literally don't have time to chew gum, spit through out.
It was some serious batting out there but try batting with the stump upside down, that's the real deal cause the heavier part is at the bottom and the lighter part at the wrists, with that you will have more difficulty in swinging the stump and that's how a cricket bat is, heavier at the bottom and lighter near the wrists
